Horse colors, need advice

#7332 Posted on 2016-02-21 16:44:04

The custom horse tool, it does not have all the breeds colors right?

I want to start with a second breed that has a fair amount of colors but im not sure yet.

I just know a few things:
-No small breeds (miniature horse, welsh,...)
-Want a Breed that is shown more or an average amount in a specific discipline that is not western or dressage (already have TWH in dressage) so that im not breeding horses that people will not be interested in because they do not use that breed for that particular discipline

Any help?

Thank you!

Not all of the breeds are 100% correct, as much as it was attempted. Off-hand I can name a couple that need some modifications for life accuracy (Chincoteague and Andalusian; both have genes here that don't exist in real life).

Could always use another good TB breeder in racing horses. ;p

I was starting on TB but i want a horse breed with more color choices :s
Was thinking arabian probably, gypsy vanners prob but not sure what discipline is more common.

love the friesian breed (despite having only two colors) but they are used more for dressage i think ad that slot is already taken by my TWH.

my bigg problem with having too many horses for the same discipline is that we cant move from the first show page to the second yet so im limited :S

Arabians could do well in endurance.
Gypsies would be better in driving.

I'm currently mildly pushing for an eventual addition of brown and flaxen to Thoroughbreds. So glad roan was removed. I'm happy with my creams and pintos XD

I've been considering adding a breed with champagne to my stables... But so far I'm just thinking.

Hi, just asking, why are the friesans not always black?

I mean, don't they only come in black?

Friesians come in Black but can very rarely come in Chestnut (but cannot be registered in some Friesian Studbooks and are penalised in shows in real life).
