[Follow] My First Manip ![FINISH!]

Hello Guys,

As you know i make to much art day after day.
Since i can blend and color a little i decided it was time to do something i have never done: Making a Manip !

I have never done this so please be nice and respectfull !
I use Stock Images from DA and will credit the Picture owners ofcourse, no worrys !

Have fun ! ♥ ( Im so afraid to do this haha xD )

WIP 1: Found a Background and a Horse.
This is how they are without doing anything yet !


WIP 2: This is hard :P
I decided to start with the hair, so Mane and Tail.
Im now working on the Mane becouse i want them to be big !


WIP 3.

I have done some tail and Mane work and then decided to draw a gemstone necklace.
I have never, ever draw one but i think its pretty nice O.o
Now working on the hair again, but i wanted to show you the "Gemstome Necklace" :D

Oke, a New background and a other side of the horse ^^
I did the hooves into the clouds, man...what a work XD
I did the manes but im not shure about them that much :3
After that i made another gamestone on the neck, thinking about adding more !


WIP 5.

Another Gemstone has been born ! This time on the head !
I love making gems, they are so sparkly :3


This is a zoom-in on the Gemstones !


WIP 6.
Currently working on the tail...Im not so shure if i like it :P


WIP 7.

I made here tail look better and she is carying a Gemstone Hart now.
What do you think ? :D



END! I think this is the best i can do for now !
I have to learn a lot but i like the Manip how he is now.
Do you think i could sell these?

It's so hard to make good hair but i'm doing my best ! ^^

The horse is looking pretty good, but I'd recommending making it quite a bit smaller. It looks rather too large for the background, like it is a gigantic horse rather than a normal size one. I'd say at least half its size would help. Try to think of the horse in the context of its surroundings, and imagine how large it would realistically be next to those hills. It's easiest to get a sense of that sizing when zoomed out, like in your first screenshot.

The mane/tail is really good considering you basically redid all of it. The only thing I would say is that the hairs look really stiff/kinda pokey at the end. Maybe try blending the ends out so that they look kinda flowey?

If the necklace is completely hand drawn, it is REALLY good. Could never make that myself lol. Don't know how far in you are with it, but I would maybe adjust the chain on the left side and make it bend with the position of whichever body part it's on top of (that was so grammatically incorrect, sorry)

oh man, i would be so angry if my program crashed and i had to start over, lol. lucky for me thats never happened.

anywho, you're so welcome for the tips! i myself am still learning, so i'd be happy to share anything new i learn with you :)

I was haha. But i want to finish something so i can look back what i did years ago haha :P

I love making Gemstones now, already made 2 on the new wips * look above :P * and i want to make more !
They are not that easy to make, i can do a Tutorial if you like =D

It's very good for your first, I mean, very good. I think you could work on making the edges of the horse less sharp, and the lighting. The background almost has an orange/blue overlay about it, while the horse doesn't, so it doesn't match, neither do the shadows on the horse, but that's an easy fix. Otherwise, I think everything else is very well done, and with practice, yes, I think you could sell these.

Yes im still working on Shadows / Matching etc ^^
