Strategy for Earning Money?

#69108 Posted on 2016-09-23 08:28:54

I'm pretty new to EV, but I have acquired a few horses to show and eventually breed when I level up some more. However, I want to be aware of how much money I have coming in from the start. What are some suggestions for bringing in more money?

If your horses place well in shows, 1st-3rd place, it can be a good source of income. Riding schools are also a really good source of income, because you are guaranteed to make money.

I'm going to keep this list specific to the game, you could earn money through art sales or coding layouts etc also if you're any good at that sort of thing.

When you first start, make sure you pick a breed with a good number of breeders already involved in the breed in the DISCIPLINE you choose. This will mean that when it comes time to possibly sell off future high statted foals, you have plenty of potential buyers. (Be aware the economy on here has been struggling and horse sales provide an unreliable amount of income.)

Make sure you collect your daily interest at the bank well, daily hehe. The few hundred every day really starts to add up over a while

Wish at the fountain for money. Some people on here swear by wishing for the horses and occasionally receive a big sum from that, but in my view a constant stream of 2-7 grand daily is better than 10k once in a blue moon.

Play the mini games! Higher or lower is good because you can use tact to improve your chance of winning. Coin toss is good for some people but not for others (ahem, me haha)

I would also recommend that your horses gain their stats via the riding school and NOT showing, especially when they are first starting out. Many players found they either barely broken even, or lost money with the shows, with a small portion actually making a decent return. The riding school with consistently provide you with a risk-free income which is just what you need when starting out.

Grab an item daily and go riding. Although this won't give you 'cash in hand' so to speak it will provide you with a nice stack of free items over time you can sell.

Make sure you repair your tack before it becomes irreparable. Constantly buying new tack, especially if its upgraded is MUCH more expensive in the long run

Lastly, keep an eye out on the credit sales. I often buy credits at 35-40k and sell them for 50-55k. They take time to sell, but they do sell.

Thank you both! I had been doing shows and breaking even lately, so I will switch to the riding school for now. I really appreciate the input, especially with the horse sales. I had been wondering if there was a strategy for picking up cheap horses and reselling, but if the horse economy is struggling I know to be wary of that!

Thank you so much!!!

To add on to the interest collecting: Make sure to deposit all your on hand money into your bank account at the end of the day so you get maximum interest. I do that, then collect interest, then pull out what I need for the day for showing and tack repair, then when I'm done put what's left back.

I would also suggest not to hurry with showing your horses. Put them to Riding Schools instead, for 10h Trail Riding. That will give you very sure gain in horse stats and money (385$ per horse daily). This tactics will allow you to accumulate money and additional horse stats.
