*picture filled/long story* If you wanna get to the point you can skip it to after the picture of Patch lol but kudos to those who read it all! As some of you may know, my 17yo Appendix mare, Lucy, was pronounced permanently lame a couple months ago. She had EPM for over a year, and it got better for a bit, however the lameness came back and we believe it was due to the parasite eating muscle as well as her right shoulder is smaller AND she was a cutting horse, which is hard on young horses' legs. She can handle light riding with bute but otherwise she's just a pasture bud. I've had her for just over 2 years and she's been lame over 1.5 years of the duration I've had her. This is her below: So after we found that out, or well before, I've been riding my great aunt's little 17yo Peruvian, Ronald. We got Ronny last October as a riding horse for my great uncle, however he hasn't ridden much ever, so Ron's just there for anyone to ride, really, and I took that advantage because otherwise he was going to sit without miles. Turns out he's an extremely cautious and buddy sour horse, because he can't move an inch from Lucy or he'll freak, but I worked with it and showed him who was boss and now he's fine. BUTTTT GUESS WHAT. That litter [censored] contracted Lyme's Disease AND Anaplasmosis from a deer tick. Wonderful! He wasn't lame but very lethargic and dehydrated. He's currently doing very well and is being treated. So anyway, can't ride him for a while. Him below: I could ride our 36 year old, Patch, however he's pretty much retired unless we really need him. He's extremely healthy, don't worry. His favorite thing is to trot as well, so trust me he's mentally not 35 at all. Him (in May) SOOOOOOOOO since I'm out of options, my dad has actually been wanting me to get another since he feels bad and since he understands what it's like to not be around them and/or ride for me, andddd a friend of the family's daughter is off to college so she's selling her horse. So I'm pretty excited because there's a good chance I'll get this guy, and I honestly don't really know much about him except that his name is Bentley and he's grey lol. I'm waiting for a call, however, to speak to his current owners. He's been shown through 4H in english and western, and I'm pretty sure he's in his late teens but I'm not positive. The picture below is the most recent I can find of him, it was taken in May, but he's a cute lil guy. I'm guessing he's around 15.1hh ? Not sure. But I'm pretty excited. We'll (hopefully) get our barn built soon enough I can bring both the pons out to my place. We just have to get my dad to build more than just a lean to lol. So yeah! Long story lol, sorry. PLEASE NOTE: All horses listed are being taken care of perfectly. I don't need your input on what is wrong with them, because we know and they are being treated. Thank you. I have a little mare that could be the twin of Lucy. I thought it was my girl at first. Gotta see if I can find a pic of my girl, Rose.

Here's my girl. She has a hind sock, but other than that, they look very similar.

Wow, they do! I hate lameness's as well, it's definitely a constant battle with horses. Hope your gelding gets well, and Rose is beautiful!
