Breeding Help

#65942 Posted on 2016-09-07 13:53:39

I currently have 10 Gypsy Vanner horses. 5 mares, 5 stallions. All of them are 18 and age in 3 days. I've trained, treated and showed them all as much as possible, hoping to give them the best chance at stats and points.

What I need help with is knowing the appropriate time to breed, and also which mares to breed with which stallions. If at all possible, I'd like for all of my foals to come out somewhat close together in stats (if that's how this game works. Still not sure about that.)

If someone experienced could help me out by having a look at my horses and suggesting pairings and breeding ages, I would greatly appreciate it.

To start with, you will get the highest stats possible for your foal if you breed the day before your horses turn 21. If you want more than one foal, for example, three, the best days to breed would be the day before the parents turn 19, the day before they turn 20, and the day before they turn 21. It takes five days for a foal to gestate, and two more days for the mare to be ready to breed again, so a week total between breedings (which equals a game year.)

To get the most even stats in breeding, you will want to pair your highest statted stallion with your lowest statted mare, your second highest stallion with your second lowest mare, and so on, until you have paired your lowest statted stallion with your highest statted mare.

I don't know if you have any color goals, but I can help you with that, too, if you need it.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure about color goals. I have mostly creams and duns. All of which are roan (RnRn). So I really don't know about any of that. Lol. I'm fairly clueless about this aspect of the game.

Looks like you will get pretty nice colors no matter how you match them, really.
