I am very excited!

I am very excited right now for the sole reason I am starting the process of adopting a dog to be my service dog. I will be going down to the shelter tomorrow to look at shelter dogs to work with. I am super happy about it though it is a bit anxiety causing since I am not sure I will find a dog I like. But we have a ton of shelters in town to check. I am really just hoping I find the perfect dog to start training as my service dog within the next week or two. I just felt I had to share this happy little moment for me. Though I do wonder do any of you have service dogs or experiences with them. I would love to hear about them.

I hope you find the right dog! I don't have one but I've always dreamed of training a service dog! (Especially after reading Nikki). ;D

I am so excited and I need to go try and sleep but I don't know if that will happen.

Are you over the age of 18? There is a post in the 18+ forum general discussion concerning service dogs and training them (there are a number of us with them). :)

I didn't really get to sleep until...5 AM last night and now I am wide awake!

Alright my lovely friends! It is time to meet Coyote's new dog!



This is Margo. She is a lab vizsla mix and about the sweetest things you can possibly come across. She is a little nervous around other dogs right now but in time she will adjust and come to be a great dog. She is also a bit older. 5 years old. I had wanted a younger dog but I set eyes on here and knew right there she was the one I wanted. We have a long way to go but little steps at a time. We start training Thursday.
