Fantasy Based Equine Role Play
Nassau was untouched by time for centuries. An island nation with beautiful alabaster sands, crystaline waters of turquoise, jungles and palm trees as far as the eye could see. Peace was something it new for centuries. At least until those of the Aerondale Nation stepped hoof onto the land.
A kingdom led by a strict and brutal king who wanted every ounce of land he could take sent his forces forth to conquer those of Nassau. The world was different then and the equines of Nassau knew now how to defend themselves from those of the Aerondale. They bore magic and weapons they knew nothing of. They came in crafts they did not have and they brought a culture they did not understand.
They were conquered quickly. The Aerondale Nation taking quick control of Nassau. At least until someone decided to step in on behalf of the Nassau people. The whispers were he was a pirate, a devil and butcher. But that didn’t matter for the equines of Nassau. What did matter was they could take their home back. And all they were required was to let him lead a herd that ruled over the nation of Nassau. A steep price but he not only brought defenses but trade and skills they never had. And they were not expected to disband their own herds. Merely allow him leadership.
The war between Nassau and Aerondale ended swiftly. The entire nation driven back from where it came on the whim of one stallion. The Pirate King of Nassau. But once more rumors have begun to flit from across the sea. Whispers that Aerondale is preparing another attack. And that they may already have spies among the pirates and merchants of Nassau. And that does not settle well with the man they call Vane. Despite his own desire to fight them back on his own he is well aware his people will need more than just him.
They will need to band together. He brought them victory once and he thinks he can do it again. The herds must stand as one. And the Captain has issued his summons to the herds and their leaders. Will you stand for Nassau or will you bow your knee in the face of the storm that is the Aerondale. Keep a weather eye on the horizon and prepare for the gale. War is at hand and it is up to you to help defend your home.

Summery:
This RP will be war based. Equines pitted against each other. An island nation standing against a culture who wishes to destroy their way of life and enact revenge. The equines of Nassau are deemed criminals, pirates and devils and are led by Captain Charles Vane. You will be joining as either members of the Nassau nation or the Aerondale Nation/Army/Navy. I will allow three herd leaders for the Nassau group and ranks in the Aerondal Army. I will be playing Vane of course and thus will be leading the Nassau Kingdom. Take the time to read the rules before you put in an application for this rp.

Rules
-Follow All Equiverse Rules and Terms of Service
-Romance and Violence is allowed but don’t go overboard. I don’t suggest taking romance scenes off site or anything of that nature.
-No powerplaying or godmoding. Powerplaying is saying what happens to another person’s character. God moding is having an all powerful character who has no weaknesses. No perfect characters.
-Play nice. Keep the In Character out of the Out Of Character. This merely means don’t be angry or be rude to someone because your characters don’t like each other ect.
-This will be written in third person.
-Posts must be more than three sentences and be descriptive to some extent.
-Have Fun

Skeletal ruins, wooden remains that reached towards the morning sky. They were his perch. Atop the towering mass of wood and metal a lone figure stood. With the sun starting her ascent into the sky he stood silent. A large stallion keeping watch over a land he had come to love. Five hundred years he spent molding this place and now the whispers were what he fought to take for his own was to be taken from him. This was not something the Captain would stand for. He would fight and if his history meant anything he would win. But he was well aware he couldn’t do it alone. And despite his own desire to not call upon help for a battle that was his and not someone else's he knew he had little choice. And that only served to agitate the Captain.
Pushing a breath past lips that seemed to be dipped in the darkest brown his blue eyes focused on the horizon. A fierce, unforgiving gaze focused on the waters that stretched away from the beaches of Nassau. Crystalline, teal liquid that lent itself to the Captain’s will when the moment called for it. Below his hooves the waves lapped at the sandbar the wreck was settled upon as they moved towards the beach. Darkening the sands where they touched. The rest settled in shadow from the towering wreckage that the Captain stood his watch on. A slow sigh slipped past his lips once more before breathing in deeply. The powerful scent of sea air and saltwater greeting him. It wouldn’t be long now. The arrival of the lead stallions would be soon. If they had any sense in their head. When Vane demanded their arrival they were wise to make haste and take the trip to see the King. Lest they have their life snuffed out like a candle in a gale and their herd claimed by the Captain.
He was unforgiving, cutthroat, and often titled many names such as The Butcher. It was well known the Pirate King did not stand for weakness or failure. And that would ring truer now than it ever had before. The dun beast painted with oranges and blues was silent as he waited. The fingers of the balmy sea air tugging at and pushing their way through the unkempt umber locks. He knew well the struggles ahead of him, his herd and his people. He had seen it before and he knew what it would take. It would take blood and cost lives to keep their freedom just as it had to gain their freedom. But to say the Captain was unprepared for that was foolish. He had been expecting this day would come soon enough. And now he was merely waiting for sails on the horizon. The threat was true and it was merely a waiting game. And Charles Vane did not like waiting.
