No, unfortunately neither of you are correct. 

I'll give a hint or two - the breed originated in the Southern hemisphere, and is used for very similar purposes to that of the quarter horse and the paint horse, hence its solid build.

Anyway, that dog looks like some sort of bull terrier mix, maybe poodle? Or is it supposed to be a purebred?
