I was so excited this morning as I was able to take 33 horses into my rescue account! I thought I'd have all day to rename them, care for them and then come to my main to take care of my babies here. Yeah, no.
First our filter on our 10 gallon fish tank broke. We were calling around trying to find the right size at a decent price. During that our neighbor, who is a contractor & has been helping us fix up some things in our home, came by to finish up the last job. My husband and he have been doing the work together so I lost my husband to home repairs for a while. (We're selling our home so it needed to be done so we couldn't put it off.)
During all this my Windows update service on my laptop stop working. After many error codes and online research I found out that something had been corrupted (through no fault of my own) and I needed to do 20 different steps to get it up and running again.
By the time I got that fixed, hubby was done & was able to hit the fish store. The whole day I've been worried about the fish not having a filter. (I know they're only fish but I can't help myself. I mother animals.) It took us over an hour to switch out the filters because hubby decided he wanted to center the tank on the stand. Okay, filter in & running, fish swimming happily. I thought I was going to be able to hop back on here.
Nope. I jump back on my laptop and now my graphics card is telling me my drivers need to be updated. I check my drivers every week so I was a bit confused. Again I do research and find out that the corruption in my Windows Update was somehow blocking the update for my graphics driver. Not only that but it had corrupted the update and my currently installed drivers. I had to completely remove all of my video, graphics & audio drivers, do a clean sweep of my laptop, and then reinstall the drivers. To get all the software playing together nicely I had to update each device then restart the laptop. Then update the next device and restart. This was like a four hour update session. I'm tired of seeing my own login screen.
I finally finished taking care of the rescues and now only have time to feed my main pones before bed. I hate computers some days...

D: I'm sorry all that happened! I definitely know how those days can be! But on the bright side, my ponies will be much happier with you than with me!

It's days like those that having an old, decrepit, unusable computer to HULK SMASH can be beneficial.
