Turning ipad/phone images to png

I'm not sure if I posted this in the right area, if not could a mod please move it? thank you ^^

Ok, so I just wanted to help those out that have ipads or phones with art programs that don't know how to turn their art's background to transparent(AKA png) what you need to to is after you make your art or even before(up to you) you need to open the layers box, you need to lock the open lock on the top layer and on the bottom X out the eye. Like this.
