I mean, I knew the chances of the foal not being grey were slim, but I HAD HOPE. At least he's Gg?? I guess?? Not sure if it'll be easy to pass on his Tobiano genes though - I'm a bit rusty at the genetics game and I haven't had time to read up on it...

Looks to me to be a 50% chance to pass on grey and a 50% chance to pass on his tobiano, given you breed him to a non-grey, non-tobiano mare.

I am, yes! The dam was Gg herself, the sire being gg, and I doubted I would be lucky enough to get a non-grey. But I was breeding more in hopes of climbing the stat ladder... Still, would've been a nice surprise xD The non-grey would just be a plus because I honestly think it looks kind of weird on here. Sometimes they look like ghosts before the image finishes loading haha. Plus it's kind of annoying because I have NEVER seen a bay horse go grey. Or chestnut, etc. I understand that it's a popular colour, but I feel like it's a little *too* popular on here if people are purposely trying to breed it out of their lines lol, and not just with DWs.

You can color randomize him for about $100k (2 credits) and get black, bay, or chesnut and absolutely no gray. It won't mess with his tobiano genes. I have done this with several of my grays. :)

Oooh, good idea Demure! I think I'll wait and see if he ends up being any good, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for when/if I decide to breed him down the road.

I had White (Ww) that haunted my QHs for 3-4? generations and White is the color I hate above all others; grey I can live with (since the dynamic greying it is no problem for me) but white is awful for me. lolz.

I'm not a fan of grey either..I have zero DWBs that carry grey. For DWBs black has to be my fav..blue roan is even better.

Unfortunately there is no blue roan per say, here on EQV. It's just called black here, with roan..which is a blue roan..though it would be nice if we had it but I'm sure there's bigger fish to fry.
