Some of y'all may have noticed that may status has revolved around all things 'waiting' lately. And some of you know what I've been waiting for. I finally received the call I was hoping for yesterday and I've got some BIG news to share with y'all!

Gaia is moving to Washington State!

After having been born and raised in Tennessee, this change will be bittersweet. I'm nevous about leaving my mom (we are SUPER close) and having to completely start over. New state, new people, new job, new living situation. It's very scary but at the same time, change can be a great thing. I'm coming into this with open arms.

It'll be roughly 4-6 weeks before I make the move and in the mean time, I have A LOT to do.

As of right now, the plan is to live out of a 5th Wheel RV for 6 months to a year until I can establish myself in the area and get a feel of where I want to really put down my roots. That in itself is going to be quite different.

And of course, my beloved Goldendoodle, Baxtor, will be embarking on this crazy journey with me as well!

So watch out world, Gaia is moving to The Evergreen State!

How exciting! Is there any particular reason you chose Washington? (If you don't mind my asking)

Thanks all!

Wey- I picked WA State because of the major diversity and to have more of an outdoorsy lifestyle. I'm an avid hiker and kayaker and WA just had everything I wanted in a state!

I'm moving 5-5 1/2 hrs from Iowa to Illinois so I feel the big scary move thing! It's not near as big of a change/move but there's something about going somewhere you don't know anyone (besides wonderful Kahzie and 2 people I've spoken to like 2x) and can't easily see everyone and everything you know that's terrifying.

The biggest thing I've been telling myself whenever I question my decision is that I can't always rely on having my family around me and staying comfortable where I am. Even if I only leave for a while I need to know I can live on my own. Hopefully as your move gets closer you can remind yourself of that too because you will question your decision when you start thinking of what you're leaving behind! But it will be worth it!

Congrats and best of luck. If you happen to swing through Illinois, hit me up.

Losteh- that's been the hardest thing for me- leaving my family. More specifically, my mother. I've already had 45432598 breakdowns D: but I also know this opportunity will be so good for me and toughen me up a bit. She's already looking into plane tickets (love her heart).

I actually think I will be swinging through IL! I'll let you know more details they arrive. :)

Wow sounds exciting!! I've never been there but I love kayaking, I'll have to check it out one day.

I'm too much of a chicken to move out of state alone. I sometimes think about it, though.

Good luck in your new adventures!!

It will be a change, and maybe a scary one at first, but change very often leads to good things even if the start is a little uncertain. I think it will turn out well for you. c:
