Royal Union (Human RP)

Anastasia's ears caught wind of the name, 'Donnie', spoken aloud. She was just behind Wendy, so she could see Donnie. He was quite handsome, but what about his heart?, the thought nagged in her mind as she stepped down the many stairs, her dress following behind her.

There were five tables, one for each pair. Each table was decorated with a black table cloth. Each had a black and white, paisley table runner. A vase with a dozen roses sat in the middle of each table. Candles surrounded the crystal vases, and cut crystals hung down from the flower arrangements. Each table had little black and white name cards that told where each person was to sit. The lighting in the room was low. There was a large Dance floor in the center of the room. People in tuxes, and ball gowns glided across the floor.

Anastasia glided towards one of the tables, looking down at the cards and seeing one had her name on it. She decided it would be best to stand and wait for this young man called "Donnie". Her hand moved to the top of the table as it set her handbag on the clothed surface. Darting from person to person, her eyes discreetly searched.

Donnie made his way down the steps. He headed for the tables, glancing up as he noticed a girl standing by one. He scanned the name cards, finally landing on his. He glanced up at the girl, who was standing at the same table. So. This was his 'wife'. After staring at her for a second, he finally spoke. "Hey." He gave a small wave, and pulled out his chair. Finally, he remembered his manners. (He was a prince after all. He was well bred, and had manners.) He walked to the other side of the table, and pulled out her chair for her.

Wendy made her way down the stairs, and headed for the tables. She moved with absolute grace, and finesse. The light pink tulle on her dressed rustled as she glided across the floor. She reached the tables and scanned the name cards for the one with her name. She finally located her place. She set down the black clutch that she had been toting around. She pulled out her chair and sat down quietly. She used these last few minutes of peace and freedom to calm her nerves. She still couldn't believe that she was married. Who was the man that was now her guardian? Would her ever care for her? She waited silently for the boy named Damien, the boy who would most likely hate her.

With a thankful nod she gently sat down in her chair, straightening her back so it would press against the cold metal back. A small smile laid upon her lips as she looked across the table at his empty chair, waiting for him to sit down. "Hello, Donnie is it?" she asked him politely, a little bit of cheer in her voice, from her pleasure that he had manners. "As you may know, my name is Anastasia." she 'introduced' herself.

Caesar made his way to a table with a card bearing his name. He sat down, glancing at the chair in front of him. What if she doesn't like me? What if she wants a divorce as soon as we leave?! His thoughts filled with worry as he waited anxiously for his 'wife'.

(Ohmygod I completely forgot about this.)

Donnie gave the girl a smile. "Yep. Donnie's my name. It's nice to meet you, Anastasia." He sat down in his chair and smoothed out his tuxedo. "This is quite the event. Isn't it?" He asked, feeling slightly awkward. He didn't even know the girl and they were married. What were they supposed to talk about?

Wendy waited quietly and patiently for her 'husband.' She couldn't believe that this was actually happening. She was married. What did he look like? And would they even get along?

"Indeed," she replied, glancing over at all the tables before looking back over at him. Usually, it wasn't hard for her to say something to get the conversation going, but for some reason, she couldn't really do so tonight. Trying to think of something to say, she swallowed hard before finally figuring out what to ask him. "What do you think of this 'setup' so to speak?" she asked, her voice calm as she did so.
