First Ever Digital Drawing

#54009 Posted on 2016-07-18 17:20:11

Since coming back to EV, I've been inspired to try digital art; especially after seeing some improvement topics and how some of the amazing artists here had humble beginnings. But, of course, I don't expect to get a hang out it right away, I just want to try my hand at it and, well, practice.

Anyway, here is the first horse digital drawing I did, using Pixlr and my mouse, which took about two hours of trial and error. It's not that good, but it's a start, which makes me happy. Now I have to figure out how to color it.

So, that's that, just thought I share this development with the art community. I am also open to any tips or advice.

Thank you! Yeah, using a mouse is a pain, but it's the only thing I have to use for digital art. cx

Yeah, and I don't want to spend money on a hobby I might not continue or have time for (school is going to start again soon for me).

Well, I tried out coloring and some of the other brushes, such as the smudge tool.

Thank you. I'm glad you do. :3

I'm thinking of doing more of them, and perhaps selling them (for very, very cheap) or doing recolors. Just so that I can practice some more.

Are you sure you aren't secretly doing digital art behind our backs, because that is really good for your first digital artwork. I mean really, really good.

Okay, so I decided to try coloring some free-to-use lines. ^^

I am aware of the little bits of white that are lingering between the lines and the color, but my hand was becoming tired, so I decided to stop for the day and share my progress. I think, in total, I spent about 4-6 hours on this. cx
