first lineart color with a tablet

So...Thanks to Rhine I have finally purchased my first tablet. I have wanted one for eons. I finally got one and this was my first full painting. I know the shading still needs a little work, but eh, I am ready to move on to a new one before this one gets boring.

What program do you use? Photoshop CS5

What drawing tool do you use? Wacom tablet intuos

What do you feel you struggle the most with? shading, color coordination, realistic textures

What do you feel you're already good at? manes and tails, at least this time.

What have you noticed you need to work on? Critique yourself: I have trouble blending shadows any tips there would be great.

What help are you looking for? Any tips, tutorials, etc for not only coloring lineart, but also for the tablet that are comprehensive and easy to read.

I got nuthin other than I think for a first time you did a wonderful job on that mane if you were going for realistic, and those flowers look fabulous.

The only thing I can say is doing realistic + cell type shading does throw it off balance some. If you are going to do realistic in one place I would go for realistic all over, if not then I would stick to one version all over :)

Otherwise I don't really critique shading, but I think you're on the right path, maybe others might be better help in that department.
