Which foal?

1 y/o Beautiful Distraction x Dusted With L♥VE filly - Born last week, Smoky Black Dun, 63.03 conformation.

OR...........

0 y/o Beautiful Distraction x Dusted with L♥VE filly - Born today, Smoky Black, 61.83 conformation.

I can't decide between the two fillies which one to keep and which one to sell!!! They are both gorgeous. ♥

If it were me, I'd keep the first one because she has higher conformation and dun.

I shall think about that. :)

The first one, for the same reasons already stated :)

First foal, because she carries the dun gene which can be good for breeding more duns!

the overall conformation of the two is not drastically different. the second filly does have two 'poors' but if you look at her poor neck, it's only 0.3 points lower than her sister. and her poor shoulders are actually 6+ points higher than filly #1. So conformation-wise I'd be torn.

but filly 1 has dun, which tips the scales in her favor for me :)

also, both should also be varnish roan according to their genetic code, so you might want to put them on the bug board to get straightened out :)

Yeah, I was wondering about that, since their sire is homozygous for Varnish Roan. :)

I guess the 1 y/o filly is being kept. Keep an eye out for her full sister to be placed up for sale.
