you know how some line arts that you use have it to were you cant color outside of the lines and you only color the horse? I know http://bronzehalo.deviantart.com/ dose this with hers. Well I am wanting to do some lines and I was wondering how you do that? just to make it a little easier for me when I color them?

no like as in when you go to color it you can scribble all over but it doesn't go outside the lines. so you don't have to worry about going over the lines and making it messy.

You would need to create different layers for different aspects of the lines (legs, body, etc). I'm horrid at explaining how to do so and it also depends on what editing program you are using as well to know the exact way to do this...I'll leave it up to the artists of EV to explain in detail!

I think in photoshop, those are called 'masks', but I'm not sure. I've never figured out how to do it in my program, Krita.

Oh! You can either apply a mask or right click on the layer and "create clipping mask" to the layer below it.

I have a bunch of linearts I purchased from bronzehalo that are all (what I call) based. Usually she'll put in the description of the lineart whether it's been based or not.
