Baez
The large stallion smiled, a genuine one, as he watched the young mare buzz with excitement. It was as if her energy was contagious, and Baez found himself slowly growing enthusiastic about the idea of having another foal. While he was content with his daughters, he could not deny the joy being a father brought him, and the possibility of having a foal with Ryaki excited him.

"While I am content, happy even, with my two daughters, I would love to have another foal." He answered truthfully, looking into the mare's bright eyes, his smile holding true. "That is, though, only if the mare I get wants a foal." And if that mare is you, Ryaki. He never really, truly, considered the idea of a third foal until he met her. Though, he did not dare say the last part, in fear of being too straight forward and scaring her off; so he kept to himself, in a form of a thought.

Ryaki made him feel young again. While he wasn't that old, the young mare brightened up his day and made him feel new to the world again; like a colt who has not yet experienced anything. Her joyful and kind attitude lightened his steps, and the only selfish thought he ever had, was to be able spend to his days with her. And no matter what, remembering his mistake in not fighting for Sancha's mother, Baez would fight for her.

Sancha
Sancha watched the young stud with a smile, noticing how he gained some confidence. She listened to his words as he spoke, and realized that Nero was truly kindhearted. His response caused her smile to lift a little. When he added his questions, she nodded. "Yes, this is my second year, but I have yet to birth a foal. I was claimed by a stallion who had also picked two other mares, so he was not very interested in me and well, we did not get along very well. Though, I did help the other two mares raise their foals." She explained, not understanding why she was telling Nero all of it, but went along with it either way.

She paused before answering the other question, taking some time to think about it. "I'm not sure. Hopefully, this time, I get claimed by a stallion I can actually get to know; one that I can talk to. Ideally, he would be kind and also want to get to know me." Her response was personal and true to her thoughts. Shrugging her shoulders, she added, "When it comes to foals, I am iffy. I would love to have one but, at the same time, am uncertain." Her uncertainty stemmed from her fear of bearing a foal for a stallion that would not care about her; she only wanted a foal if she or he was a result of love, not duty. Sancha shrugged again, holding her gaze even with the stallion's.

Isolda
Apollyon was certainly formidable, even more so when he spoke with his low, deep voice. The mare listened to his words, her body posture still showing respect, as she gazed up at him. Not wanting to be disrespectful or rude, to prevent herself from staring, she dropped her eyes down. Flickering up here and there, she stole glances of him. She never felt like this before. It was as if his stocky figure or powerful attitude was warning her to be on her best behave. While she did not feel fear, or so she liked to think, every fiber of her being was on alert, telling her to forget her childish antics and be as respectful as she could; to not dare tempt or anger the Beta.

When he addressed her, she looked back up at him, trying to hold her gaze steady. Feeling the nerves within her tingle and pulse, the young mare answered honestly. "I'm good but, truthfully, very nervous." Nervous of what? A lot. But she managed to push it aside once again, ear perking with her innocent and childish habits, and took a step closer to the stall door; tail swooshing gently.

Asteria:

I caught a glimpse of Ramone in front of a stall, causing my smile to brighten. She backed up into her stall a little, not wanting her brother to see her. Asteria shuffled her hooves for a few moments, getting a little bored. She tossed her head, letting her curly mane fall onto her silky back. My eyes wondered around the small stall, trying to think of something to amuse myself with.

Ramone:

"Ramone." he answered happily, glad she finally asked him a question. He backed up a little more, trying to make her more comfortable. A horsefly flew onto his nose, making him freak out a little and turn his head, trying uncontrollably to shake the fly off. He hated those nasty things, always trying to land on someone's ear or back. "Sorry." he apologized quietly, turning back his head to look at her face to face.

(Huh, I wrote up her reply... must have accidentally deleted it before I posted.... Oh well! ^.^ )

|| Amour ||

Well, it was sort of a compliment, Amour decided, even if a perhaps unintentional insult had been laced in there. Amour was just shocked that she had managed to attract the attention of Nekros, though perhaps he was just one of the stallions who approached any mare to flirt. Still, Amour dipped her head to Nekros, holding it down for a few moments before raising it again, tilting slightly to the side. "Thank you, Alpha." She murmured her gratitude, blinking her eyes. "I used to be told that I look exactly as my mother did, though she has been dead too long for any to remember well." Perhaps it was a slightly morbid way of saying it, but it was the truth.

"I appreciate you coming to speak to me. I was beginning to get a little lonely all the way over here by myself." She mused, letting out a gentle smile to show she was joking lightly. "If I may ask, Alpha, was there any particular reason you approached me specifically or was I just the mare closest to you?"

|| Apollyon ||

Dark eyes met Isolda's as she looked up to him to answer, unwavering as she spoke. Nervous. Yes, he could tell. The way she had a gaze that flickered from the ground to him or to the side gave it away, though she did well to hide her nerves. Of course she had a right to be nervous; this was no easy-going place to feel carefree and joyous.

"I hope I have not brought this feeling upon you, Isolda. I try my best to make sure every member of the herd is comfortable around me, so that should any problem arise they trust me enough to report it." It was the truth for the most part, though perhaps not quite as true when it came to the mares he selected each year. Truth be told, they were well-disciplined by the end of the season. Rowdy ones were tamed, and the already kind ones were perhaps a little more confident. It was his job to shape them into formidable mares that would produce strong fillies and colts to carry on the herd in the future. With this being his first year, he might actually attempt to produce a foal. In the past he had simply been content with the mares no one else wanted-- he made it his job to make them desirable. Now his waiting was over, and it was time he got his reward with top of the line mares.

Isolda
The Beta's words eased some tension, the mare finding herself more relaxed in his presence. Contradicting his appearance, what he said made her realize that perhaps he meant no harm nor was one to quickly resort to violence. But her sister's words, still buried deep inside of her mind, stopped that train of thought; Sancha had warned her that not all stallions were what they seemed. But that was confusing to the young, inexperienced mare. Why would someone not act according to their true personalities?

While Isolda, herself, was being more behaved than usual, it was not because she was trying to deceive anyone, instead it showed the young mare's possibilities. It showed that she, already sweet and loving, could mature-and was maturing-in to a respectable mare. That goes to say, she still had a lot to learn.

Either way, she gazed up at the large stallion that was in front of her, her eyes more steady than before. "It's not you, but this place. And the events, the Auction. It's just all so new to me," the young mare responded, trying to explain the reason behind her jumbled nervous. "And this stall; it's too small for my liking." Her eyes flickered around the small enclosure, feeling pent up and caged. More than anything, she rather be out in the open fields with fresh air and plenty of grass. Isolda did not realize that, perhaps, talking freely was not something she should do and, for a matter of fact, especially not in front of the Beta.

//Sakura//

The coal black mare opened her eyes and looked at the stallion speaking in front of her Tigamas. She blinked her dark chocolate brown eyes at him and nodded her head up and down slowly. Giving her mane a shake she lifted her head noticing his features and gave a snort. Sakura moved a bit closer to him with her ears pricked up with curiosity.

//Borak//
The stallion didn't move as he looked at Forada with sorrow in his chocolate eyes. Moving a step closer he sighed "That may be true but one part is wrong...." he said lowering his head closing his eyes for a while. In a swift motion he picked up his head again "I want a mare like you." he said firmly and bobbed his head up and down in front of the mare.

Tigamas

Tigamas studied the mare. Even though her conditions were bad she cold still be able to produce a good foal. " is this your first year or have you participated once before?" He said questioning her. If he was to pick any mare he wanted to make sure she was worthy of continuing his bloodlines.

Sakura dropped her head slowly "I've participated in this before.....My foal died due to complications" she said turning away now from the stallion and lowering her head and closing her eyes. The coal black mare breathed in the air around her and gave a shake of her dark black coat. Sakura opened her eyes gazing back at Tigamas in front of her stall.

((Wow, a lot happens when I go bed for the night. XD))

Takoda

Takoda chuckled softly, not in the least insulted by the mares angry words. It did make him slightly more interested in the mare though, her fiery personality different then most of the mares in this barn. "Yes, I guess you could have a reason to be agitated." The liver chestnut stallion said, he wouldn't respond to her thinking he looked at her like a prize. Because most stallions, including him. Did see the mares as sort of like a prize. Why wouldn't they?

They were all beautiful and strong, something they would value when they have them. "But there is much more important things to worry about then kicking up a fit in a stall. I don't believe any mare has ever gotten out of this. And I doubt there ever will be one." He said truefully, he might be a gentleman and all, but he was also honest, and would never give false hope.

Jaqualis

"Sailor?" Was all the dark bay mare said for awhile, letting the name come familiar to her before focusing on the lanky stallion again. In all honesty, the name suited the stallion quite well, she wouldn't argue with that. As unoriginal as it may be, she doubt any other stallion here had the same name, so it did have it's own uniqueness within the herd. But enough of those thoughts, being complimented on her young age did make her want to puff up her chest slightly, but she resisted it.

"Thanks... But I am 4 years old." She said to him, not losing eye contact with the other stallion, in fact, she made sure he was looking at her, because it really was the worst when a stallion can't even look at you when you are speaking. "And this is my first time being here, I did get out of being caught here the first two time." She said to him, she had no idea why, but she did. And there was nothing to take those words back.

Tigamas

Tigamas felt the sli th test bit of sorrow for the mare. Losing a foal must have caused trauma and discipline ment on both the parents end. He finally choked words from his mouth " I'm terribly sorry about your loss, might I ask a little bit about yourself? What do you enjoy doing? And i know it can't be sitting here in this stall"

Regan

Regan gave a snort at his comment almost as if she took it as a joke. " just because one has never gotten out doesn't make it impossible, after all you never know the power or strength of a horse. I just wish I had a bit more room to stretch my legs, they ache" She said a bit more calm now but she made sure to stay aware of the stallions every move. She snorted as she circled and racked her nose against the bars throwing her head up. She was not one to be the friendly type but over time she would form bonds with a am horse or two. She just hoped a stallion could see the potential in her for good and strong foal.

Asteria-

Asteria looked out from the bars, watching tiredly as the stallions continued to pass by her stall. Her creamy forelock fell over her eyes once more, she didn't bother to toss her head this time. I backed up a couple of inches, raising my head up slightly and looking down at my hooves. "Please, please don't be like my father..." she whispered to herself. Her father had hurt her mother, he had been exiled from the herd and sent off into the world. Asteria had been auctioned off only once and she was ignored by the stallion, leading her to not bear a foal.

(Asteria is available.)

Takoda

Takoda thought about it what she said for awhile, before shaking his head. "And we are the horse, stronger and faster. We made it so that you mares could not not run." He said to her, before a soft smile appeared on her face. This mare did have hope, that's for sure, and Takoda would admit he rather liked that. For the last 6 years of participating in this, not once did he aim for a fiery mare, he always liked the quiet ones. But this mare, Regan... He did like her. "But let us not worry about that, I would like to get to know you. Is this your first year being here?" He asked her, to change the topics.

Regan

Regan let out a smirk. "yes I was fast enough last year to run from The cage before they could get me, this year I had a bum leg that slowed me" She said as she saw the cut had now healed and stabbed over. " will be my first time bering a foal" She said as she gave a blank face. Her nerves had now officially settled but her blood still boiled for the slightest bit of hate that the stallions had done this to her.

The memory of the cage flashed in the back of her mind but soon dissipated for Her.She turned her attention to the stallion. " and how about you? I don't even know your name?" She said as she pawed the ground out of boredom. She glanced at Tigamas her cousin seeing as he had found a mare to talk to but quickly shifted her glance to the stallion at her stall.
