A Foal For Freedom - Su's

Been thinking of this plot for a while now, just getting bored enough with myself to actually post the sign ups. Please do not sign up unless you are serious about sticking to it, I'd like this one to last.

There has always been two herds, a strong herd of stallions, and a larger, weaker herd of mares. And every year the two herds come together to reproduce for the two herds to continue to grow and stay full of horses.

Everyone was happy, and there was no worry about hearts being broken or feelings being hurt, because every mate was chosen purely to create a good, strong foal.

No one ever had a problem with this system, for a long time. But as time went on, things changed.

After a while, the mares started to rebel, and no longer want to produce foals for the stallions, so they have began moving away, unbeknownst that the stallions had been following them.

One night while the mares were all sleeping, the stallions caged them all in an old, abandon barn.

Then the next morning, the mares were to be auctioned off to the stallions, and each mare had to produce that stallion's foal.

Now, this capturing and caging of the mares is tradition. And it is that time again this year, for each mare to be auctioned off to a stallion.

The mares have started to rebel again, recently though. They started becoming restless, and no longer want to be caged and sold.

But that didn't change a thing, and the Alpha Stallion is persistent on caging the mares.


Herd Rules
⟹ Alpha Stallion doesn't have to "bid", he get's mare of his choosing when it is her turn to be auctioned off.
⟹ Beta Stallion doesn't have to "bid", he get's mare of his choosing when it is her turn to be auctioned off, so long as Alpha Stallion doesn't want the same mare. Alpha Stallion's wants overrule that of Beta Stallion.
⟹ Unless the stallion who won her lets her go for the next year, then the mare must produce a foal for the stallion who won her, and may not escape.
⟹ Every stallion must bid at least on one mare, though if he choses to set her free or use her is up to him
⟹ A stallion may have a maximum of three mares.
⟹ When foals are born, they stay with their mother until they are weaned, after which they join the proper herd. Colts join the Stallions, and Fillies join the Mares.
⟹ Alpha Stallion's word is law, after that, Beta Stallion's. If a mare births her foal before everyone else, she is free to do as she wishes when her foal is matured, meaning she may run free with any, if there was any, released mares.
⟹ Stallions may not physically abuse their mare(s), though may punish her if need be. If he is found hurting her without or outside of reason, he shall be exiled depending on severity of the situation.

Bidding Lingo
Horses don't actually "bid", but more so fight. If a stallion wants a mare, he says he claims her. If some other stallion wants her, then he claims a challenge, and they fight. If multiple stallions want a mare, they all fight at once. It is not a fight to the death, and no stallion needs to be fatally injured. Once the Alpha or Beta declares the winner, the fight is over and the next mare is brought up. Alpha and Betas do not have to fight.

➔ Please please please be literate and detailed. 3+ sentences per character per post. You will received one warning, before you will be kicked from the roleplay.
a. While I expect everyone to be detailed, descriptive, literate, etc, I don't want to read about gore and everything. That is unneeded.
➔ Please be active. I understand we all have lifes, and aren't roleplay robots who sit at a computer all day, but please try to post at least once a day, and if you know you won't be online to post for a few days, please forewarn me.
a. If you are gone for a long period of time without an explanation you will be kicked.
➔ I love original, unique characters that are unlike anyone else's. I understand there is lots of people who think similarly when it comes to creating characters, I have encountered that problem before, but I dont want a bunch of Jane Does and Billy Bobs running around in the roleplay.
➔ Make at least one mare and one stallion. If you want to make more, that is fine, but I prefer the number of mares be larger than the number of stallions if it is to be uneven.
➔ If you have read all the rules post how excited on a scale of one to ten, 1 being not very, and 10 being extremely, how excited you are in the Q/C/C portion of the sign up.

He has a glossy onyx coat and a wide chest, matched with broadened shoulders and thick legs. His size makes him slow and ungraceful, but he makes up for it in his stamina. His mane and tail are both long and wavy. Apollo has dark brown eyes, covered mostly by his forelock.
★ History: Being a young stallion, Apollo has not had a terribly exciting history. He was born and raised in the herd primarily by his father, who was a stubborn and prideful stallion determined to raise his son the same way. As soon as Apollo was weaned, he took him away from his mother and began to teach him how to 'properly' behave, turning him into the cold stallion he is today.

His nose is dark gray, and his eyes are a pale hazel in color. He is far from the most muscular stallion though could hold his own in a fight with his speed if he needed to.
★ History: Sailor's history, like many others', is boring with few interesting details to it. He was the only foal either of his parents ever had, as his mother died due to illness before another stallion could claim her and his father simply never chose another mare. He was content with a single colt and focused his attention solely on him.

The following year the same stallion claimed her, and while she considered him a great friend, neither wished to have any sort of romantic relationship. Thus, she has not yet had a foal for any stallion.

Thank you Kyhas for signing up. Sorry I couldn't provide more of a detailed plot, it sounded like a lot more to me then what it actually was as I typed, xD. Anyway, so far you are accepted! When we have more stallions I will decide on Beta, because I want to pick the best option for it, but Apollo is a good candidate, except hands are only 4 inches long, so he would be 18.1hh, xD.

He has deep scars here and there, but most aren't visible at first glance. He has a very short, almost cropped mane and tail, and light creamy tan hooves. He has dark brown, almost black eyes that are always emotionless.
★ History: Nekros grew up in the herd, the son of The Beta Stallion and one of his mares, not Beta Mare, but another one that he owned. Nekros was weaned somewhat late, so he was behind most colts when it came to learning. But he was an ambitious colt and pushing himself to be the best of all the colts. When he was fully matured, he took on the old stallion that was the Alpha. Winning, Nekros took on the title of Alpha, and no one that has challenged him has survived. He is set on making his best colt the next Alpha, though he is not afraid of challengers. Nekros is not at all opposed to the auctions, in fact he loves them. He can get whichever mare, or mares, he pleases, without having to wait for anyone else to chose theirs.

He stands at 15.2, so he isn't the shortest, nor the tallest of the herds. He has white that starts at his forehead, dripping down his face to cover his entire muzzle. His muzzle his slightly pink-grey, but is seen mostly as white at first glance.
★ History: Nero grew up like any other stallion, though he was raised primarily by his mother, even after being weaned, his father never really was around, he was always busy, as he was a senior stallion who often helped make big decisions for the herd and everything, so that made Nero a bit more open minded and kind towards the mares, though he didn't release his first mare, nor does he plan to release this one, he is far from cruel to them, and tries to treat them nicely as possible. The last year he didn't produce a foal, probably because he was somewhat young and very inexperienced, but this year plans on producing an amazing colt.

★ History: Little is known about Lost's history. She stumbled upon the herd just a few months ago, dazed and confused. She began shrieking horribly at sight of another horse and was locked up. She is known to freak out at random times, likely due to traumatic experiences in her past.

It's fine, xD I thought horses were measured in feet for the longest time, so I when my friend said she had as Quater Horse that was 14.3 I was like "14 feet! That's really tall, how do you ride that thing!" Haha. But it's all good, ;).

★ History: Jaqualis took more after her mother as she never knew her father, nor anyone else knew for that matter. Though she does remember her mother telling her when she was young that it was a love story like no other. But, that was all she got about him, and all she really cared when she was at that age. Though when Jaqualis was old enough to care more about him, her mother had already passed away. Leaving her with only those close to her at 2 years old and never learning about her father.

★ History: Takoda never knew his parents, he was infact raised by an old mare named Allie, a light grey 16 year old who raised him to be proper much like the other older more gentleman like stallions. Leading him to also be like a gentleman at heart, but a stickler for rules and traditions come from his own genetics and Allie loves to say how lucky she was to get to raise him. Through his time growing up, he had it pretty fair, and had no trouble making friends with his gentle personality. Though even after Allie's passing when he was a 3 year old, he still followed her teachings and lived on to become wise and experianced in battle as well as in a herd life.

@Kyhas; I didn't even see you edited with more sign ups, xD. Haha, yes both Lacey and Lost are accepted, and yeah, Lost's history is fine. We do need a few "crazies" here and there sometimes, xD.

It's fine, it's understandable. I get spacey when I'm tired too. Accepted, ;). And As for beta stallion, I will chose who gets that part when more people sign up for the spot, I want to chose the best option I can for him (I really want this to go well).

It looks like it will be fun. I think it will go well, and I understand choosing the best positions. I am okay with whatever I get. XD

Yeah, I'm debating adding more high positions, so more people can get higher positions, but I'm afraid not many people are gonna sign up, just because this plot is a bit of a reused one of my old ones, and the first time I tried using a similar ones it didn't get much interest.

GUYS I HAVE ADDED BIDDING LINGO ABOVE AND ADDED A BIT TO THE PLOT. PLEASE READ THE BIDDING LINGO AS IT MAY CHANGE YOUR OLDER STALLIONS A BIT.

I am also debating adding some more ranks, opinions?
