This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Syrien 🐇 ☽, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!
This is something that's been talked about in forums regarding post deletion, but I don't think it's ever actually received its own thread. It would really help mods do their job if they could see old versions of edited posts. This would prevent people from hiding evidence of bad behavior, as I've seen happen recently. I talked to a mod who confirmed they do not have this ability, and stated that it would make their jobs much easier.

I have to agree, for exactly the reasons you stated.

I was the Mod Syrien talked too about this. I was dealing with a situation yesterday that I could've really used something like this. I think people tend to really abuse the 'Edit Post' button.

I agreed. A lot of players who got bullied are younger and are unfamiliar with screenshots and image host site. In past, I do have couple of younger players contacted me about bullying. They were afraid to "bother" mods because they don't have evidences. I usually tried my best to get them to agree to contact mods and explained about screenshots. This can help a lot of younger players or players who aren't familiar with screenshots/image host site.

It makes me a little sad that people are afraid to "bother" us. :'( If we were bothered, we wouldn't have applied to become mods, but I also can see where people come from.

I think mentioning taking screenshots in a guide would be a great idea. ^^ And it'd also be good to spread the message that you shouldn't be afraid to contact a mod should you need any help with rule breaking or bullying or anything like that. Some people unfortunately see the people 'in power' as being above them, when really you just want to help the community be a happier, friendlier, and safer space.

I think this is a good idea, I support! It would help mods deal with problems perhaps covered up with editing, so it would also help other players too! :)
