My first lines (in forever)

#49374 Posted on 2016-06-26 06:29:30

I never bother trying to make lines, as I only have a mouse to work with so anything that doesn't involve major anatomy fails is usually impossible for me. Gave it a go with a sort of cartoon style that tends to hide the worst of that, and I think this came out ok.

Look at the little podgy pony! ♥

I plan to animate this at some point. I have things like the head, tail, eye pupils, legs, etc all separate, so I've got lots of options. Any suggestions of basic things I can animate? I'm thinking of head bobbing or tilting, tail swishing, eyes looking around (but not blinking - I feel it's a bit overdone), and legs moving about (not sure how yet). Won't necessarily do all of these, but it's a few ideas.

Oh my goodness gracious great balls of fire cherry cheesecake with big fat cherry on top, that has to be the cutest cartoon horse I have ever seen!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Animation wise, I suggest perhaps you making it where it's trying to stand up, but rolls over on his back, legs kicking, and whinnying in protest, tail switching like crazy. Maybe a little hard, but sounds adorable. ;)

It does sound adorable, but well beyond what I'm capable of. :P I'll be limited to things I can do with the existing lines, like moving or rotating existing parts. A great idea though.

Okay. :) I have another idea. Maybe have its tail twitching and whinnying.

Yeah, I'll definitely be selling them at some point. Although it'll be added to my long list of unfinished projects and unsold tags. :P I'll try a few different animations first though.

Also, how would I go about animating a whinny? I'm having trouble picturing it, especially since no actual sound would be involved.
