The whole reason why we have a Rescue Center is so that there is an affordable source of horses for people, particularly new players, who can't afford full-price horses yet. To buy up all the Rescue Center horses would completely defeat that purpose. When I started out, I bought many of my horses from the Rescue Center.

There are other rescue groups out there, and if people want to do that, that's up to them. But I honestly think it is not fair to other players to deliberately empty the Rescue Center just to make a profit. If you're going to do that, we may as well not even have a Rescue Center.

Magic, that's the point Confessor is trying to make.

You would likely sell them back to new players for a profit, the margin may be small or large, but it would still be a profit, which you would then need to continue the service, and chances are, you would slowly but surely get quite a bit of money off the excess profits you make.

I think it's a self defeating cycle if the rescue center is completely emptied. How would new players know to go to you in the first place? Forum posts, yes, but those are very easily bumped downward, and it's against the rules to keep bumping yourself up so you're the only one ever visible.

New players don't always go to the forums too. It really doesn't make sense at all what you're trying to do. The horses aren't in need of homes. New players will just be confused by going to the rescue center to find it empty.

Not to mention it'd be pretty dang expensive to rescue EVERY horse EVERY day. People who buy hoards of foundation horses dump 20+ back in sometimes.

You're not going to get back what you'll lose from taking care of and buying. I guarantee nobody is going to buy that much from you.

Not to mention that some of the horses in the RC are there for a reason because they're low quality.

People want to be able to buy their 200 EVD horse and raise it themselves, the way they want, in the specialty they want. They don't want to buy someone else's horse that someone else worked on for an inflated amount of money. People usually only spend that kind of money on a horse that has something special about it - good conformation, a desirable color, amazing stats - something like that. And even those horses sometimes don't sell very well.

If you want to buy a few Rescue Center horses here and there, and sell them (if you can) for a modest profit, no one is going to care. If you clean the Rescue Center out, and essentially tell people that no one else is allowed to have $200 horses - they have to buy them from you at your price, and raised how you like - that is unfair to other players. You are going to make a lot of people very irritated if you hog the Rescue Center horses like that.

Also, I think you're underestimating how many horses go through the Rescue Center. If someone signs up for a popular breed, they are going to quickly max out their capacity, even if they are able to house hundreds of horses. Also, it's very pricey to raise a horse well. There's feed, treats, showing, training, tack (maintaining and upgrading), vet and farrier bills... it adds up. I'm one of the top earners in the game. I've made over $5 million this month alone from over 300 horses - and I've spent all but $50 thousand of that taking care of my herd. If I weren't making over a thousand shows a day, I would never be able to support my herd.

Of course, you could always skimp their care. That would be cheaper. But it would also mean that you would have to try to sell hundreds of horses, most of them grey or with poor conformation (which doesn't tend to sell well), and not even have the added draw of great stats. Building great stats takes a lot of time and money.

People want to be able to buy their Rescue Center horses for Rescue Center prices, at the usual Rescue Center ages (usually 3 year olds or newborns) and raise them according to their own standards, not buy the same horses, now older and almost certainly lower in stats than they should be, at higher prices.

It's not a business model that's likely to work well for you, and it's definitely not a business model that is going to work for the rest of the players.

If you or anyone manages to clean up the RC someday.. I will grant them my life. It is a huge achievement and would probably stay as one of the biggest achievements in the history of EV.

But it has bad and good sides. I don't think that everyone should just be against it so fast. I thought about that for a while, I mean, as a new member, you usually want the cool looking horses or high stat horses.. or just trying to figure out how the game even works. Basically most of the RC horses don't even have a "chance in life", I know that is weirdly said, but I think it helps new players a lot if we train the horses for quite sometime and then give them that way a lot better or even somewhat better stats, so they will be helping the starters out a lot specially if they want to start rising better horses right away. And we can put the trained horses to sale around 200-500 EVD which is an affordable price for a starter.

I created most of my horses in the equine center. And later found out about RC and later on about buying horses.. but it depends on the player which they use as they are starting. And what ways they find to get a horse first.

All I'm doing now, is adopting some of the geldings and retired horses, then showing them.
If people want to buy the geldings, then just message me. I'll prefer 200$-10K. Preferably less than 10K depending on stats.
