Fairy horse [sig and tag]

*edit* version 2:

*edit again* version 3:

This is my latest work, and I just thought I'd get everyone's thoughts on it. It's not quite finished, but close to it.
The cut-out on the log wasn't quite ideal, but I've fixed that in v2. I originally intended to leave the background transparent, but added something in v2 and v3. Which looks best?

If you see any other issues that need to be fixed or things that could be improved upon I'd love to hear about it. I've coloured it up with a simple buckskin just for an example.

I like it better with the background personally. Also think this an overall adorable tag.

I can't see the version 2 sig, but I love everything I can see! What a fun sig & tag set!

very cute!

the horse looks very faded compared to the mossy log/ rock.

Love it! I do prefer it with the background, though.

Thanks for your feedback, guys! Not sure why the second sig wasn't showing up, as it was fine when I last checked this topic. :P I've fixed it now though. I definitely agree that a background is better, although I'm not sure if I've quite settled on this one. I'm still experimenting with things. I'll keep you posted.
I'll also see if I can make the horse look less faded. Any ideas on how to do this? It's not something I'm particularly familiar with.

Are you sure the opacity/fill is 100%?

Yes, definitely 100%. I'm currently playing around with curves and contrast to see if that improves things. Also trying out other backgrounds, so I'll see how that goes.

*edit* Ok, I've tweaked a few lighting effects on the horse, and added a new background. I was really trying to go for a lush green feeling and I think this one gets it right. Let me know what you think.

Love the one with the green background :D I'd maybe up the contrast of the horse? I went and tried it on my own computer (don't worry, I didn't save it or anything) to see how it looked and it looked ok I think XD

Ooooh, I like it even better with the green!!
This might be a stupid idea, but maybe try duplicating the layer (or layers) that make up the horse, and then put that on top of the original layer(s), and then adjust the opacity on the NEW layer(s) to see if it helps?

I really like this! Maybe blend in the horse to the background a little more :)
