Riding School/Show Creating Strategies

What are some good ways to promote your riding school or your shows to get more horses working there or more entries for your shows? :]


Trying to build an empire over here, that requires funds :D

I filled my show names with puns and random pop culture references and entries increased. "Where's Waldo?!" Is the show name that kicked it off, lol. But now I'm inserting "horse" in whatever way I can. Bathorse and Robin, Teenage Mutant Ninja Horses, 21 Horse street etc. Pick a name that jumps out, if you want to be recognized, stick with the same name or theme. I've stuck predominantly in Driving and Dressage, but expanded to Racing and Endurance recently to see how those shows go. With 30 shows/day I'm now averaging roughly 3k a day proft in show fees.

Riding school is hit or miss. Personally, I pick randomly under specialty although I appreciate names that make me smile, those jump out at me.. Off the top of my head there's a Geekdom University that made me chuckle and a SPOK reference.. If you didn't take the time to rename your riding school something other than "Riding School" I generally don't click on those because I can't tell them apart, so can't ensure I'm spreading the riding school love.

I wandered around your barns and here are my thoughts.
Training arenas. Name your arenas by discipline along,with cute names as suggested by Ducky.
Lower your training fees. I pay $20 for novice, $40 for local.
Advertise on the forums.
Write up a cute description for your main page. I will post more ideas later.
