Flaxen Gene

#45429 Posted on 2016-06-07 14:55:53

I know about most genetics, however, have not a clue about flaxen. I know for dun, DD mean homozygeous, and Dd means heterogeous (sorry if spelling isn't correct), while dd means no dun, using dun as an example.

So I just bought a flaxen red dun, and did the genotype test on him. His flaxen gene is ff. Does that mean he is homoz. or hetero.?

ff is homozygous flaxen.
Ff is heterozygous flaxen.
FF is no flaxen.
