[a] Horse names

Hey guys!

Everyone has such creative names for their horses, and I'm having a huge mind blank! Where does everyone get their horse's names from? Or are you just all creative enough to think of them on the spot?

I'm about to buy a ton of horses and start up more breeds but I'm in need of names (I'm starting 3 new breeds, 16 horses per breed). If anyone has any names I could use, please comment them! It would be greatly appreciated. :) To add to this, if any of you guys use names generators of any sort they would also be greatly appreciated!

I usually use song titles or have names related to a movie/song I like :p

Like I have a group of horses with names related to Johnny Depp movies, and a few with P!ATD and Twenty One Pilot's song names lol.

I think of a lot of the names on the spot, which is why there are certain unintended themes in my horses' names. Whenever I start drawing a blank I used a random word generator to get ideas flowing again.

Depends, but for my Store Arabians, I've been going with Arabic names that actually mean something, while with my lined Arabians, lately been going mixing the names of their ancestors to get their current names. :)

The Gypsy Vanners, I don't really have any particular way of naming them. One of my pairs, Lace and Tulle, I named them that because that is my preferred types of cloth to use when I do arts, crafts, bridal showers, etc. Other than that, I sometimes have a hard time deciding what to name them, which is why you sometimes see my horses with nameless until the perfect name comes to mind. :)

i usually name them something on my playlist lol
but other times i mash up random words together and it works,
like aglet said i search for horse name generators - the one i used
to use a lot at ultimatehorse.com was taken down but i found another one
here,
what i usually do is take one word from the first list and then hit generate
again and pair it up with another word and it makes a good name (;

i tend to use people or mythology names

my new paint line all have irish names, my rescues are random names i like, and if i start another line i'll likely use greek mythology. i've used song lyrics in the past, but i've come to prefer one word names for my guys.

I tend to pick a letter for each gender and go to baby name sites and scroll through the letter picking names I like. I've also done mythology, random names based on what I was reading or obsessed with, the mods made an appearance in one generation lol I also like using country/city names.

With my Morgans, I picked a theme and thought of names that fitted into it. But I thought of all my Lippizaners' names on the spot.
