Question-Graphics

How do people go about making graphics? I would really like to know. Like to they just draw lines on gimp or whatever app they use? Honestly, like some graphics look like they are professionaly done but they were done by like a 15 year old girl. That's crazy, is there a link or youtube video that shows me how to draw horses? Or how do you guys do this? Please dont just respond by saying: I use gimp and pixlr; I really want to learn exactly how everyone does this! Thanks~ :)

Many artists here have years of experience drawing traditionally with pencil and paper before we go digital :)
I'd say, get comfortable with traditional drawing before you invest in a drawing tablet and stuff. Look up drawing tutorials, don't be afraid to reference pictures. That's how I learned.

Some people, don't draw lines at all. You can find an abundance of lineart on deviantart, just make sure it's free to use outside of DA and to credit properly. So if drawing isn't your thing but you still want to do art, you could always use others' linearts and work on your coloring skills. This is a good way for people without drawing tablets to do digital art.
