Mustangs used to be (at least one of the most popular), but a lot of people aren't happy with the new art so there's definitely been a noticeable decrease.

Gypsies, paints and quarter horses are some of the more popular breeds on the game now.

^That's the game stats page. Right now it would appear that QHs are by far the most preferred, with Vanners not too far behind.
