I'd give the contest a try, but, Im not sure Im comfortably basically copying someone else's character like that...even if in horse form. How do you know THEY don't want a horse version of him? Did you get permission from them to do this? I'd be pretty upset if anyone did/had a "version" of one of my characters without my permission...

Fanart of any kind is allowed for this character.
He is from a book, and hundreds of people have drawn/sculpted versions of him for themselves. Some have even made items to resell.

In my eyes, this is just more fanart. He will not be resold and will always be with me. I am not commissioning him with real money.

I have several other characters that are just horse versions of other things (see; Loki, Castiel, Alexwin, Bowie, etc) as do several other people.

If you aren't comfortable taking inspiration from this character and transforming him into a mer-horse, I understand. I can get written permission if needed, but its really not necessary since I'm certainly not the first or the last to do something with this character.

Fan art I am generally okay with (example wold be wiki's super horses). I have a "Bowie" of my own Named Lazarus :)
