Hi! I'm new :)

Hello All!

So nice to meet all of you. :) My name is Ducky, and I'm super excited to have found this game! My experience with SIM horse games begins waaaaaay back to dial-up AOL message board games (+1 for anyone who remembers the "You've got MAIL!" and what I'm talking about) and goes to about 2005/2006's website versions. At that time I discovered vanilla World of Warcraft and for some strange reason morphed from a casual solo gamer to uber-mmorpg gamer, and fizzled out of the SIM scene.

Outside the internet, I've spent much of my life working with and showing QH/Paint/Arabs but at some point moved to "The Big City." I desperately miss the smell of manure and bedding. My "when I grow up" dream is to move someplace where I can have a goat, a horse, and a small herd of cats. I'm an avid reader, music collector, am equally obsessed with cooking/eating as I am with picking up heavy objects. I have a soft spot for cartoons (think: TMNT and Archer, not whatever cartoon that has what I think is a talking fish and dog that live together and yell a lot), gin, and spreadsheets. I also have a 4mo old duckling (a kiddo "duckling" not a "quack quack" duckling). :)

My primary focus in this game is to become a major producer of quality Andalusians, with an emphasis on breeding for conformation and stats. I maaaaay have gotten a little happy with building my herd with foundies. As of last night and one too many gin and tonics, I decided to throw in a foundie Gypsy Vanner herd rescued from the RC. Focus with them is pretty colors, conformation, and for me to have fun with genetics. In the name of simplicity I'm sticking with Driving and Dressage. Once I'm satisfied with my foundation herds and I have more time (ha!), I'd really like to use this game to rekindle whatever digital art/manip/layout/html skills I have.

welcome to equiverse! you know my parents still use aol so occasionally i hear that nostalgic 'you've got mail' coming from their laptops XD i never got into world of warcraft probably because my brother was so competitive with it so it wasn't fun when he kept trying to kill me cx i think a lot of us go back to the good ol' days of horseland (: i have played a couple other horse sims but kept coming back to here so i hope you love it just as much as we do!

also there are a lot of changes/bugs/fixes going on so if you ever need help feel free to message me or ask a mod for help :D
