Horse Leasing

What's your opinion on how horses should be priced for leasing? I'm looking into leasing. I'll be keeping the is updated with how my lease works. Thanks!

I find it varies massively! This is my experience with living in the UK, england.

My first lease/loan horse was free and I did as much or as little as I wanted! But then when he got sick I helped out with the vet bills (not through being asked, I did it as I wanted to) I had him for 2 1/2 years.

My second was only £5 a week for 2/3 days but that was from a very good friend of mine. I had her over a summer while my friends had her exams.

Lastly I loaned one and he was £25 a week for 3 days riding. I had him for about 6 months then bought my own.

And now I have my own which is extremely expensive but I work very hard to have her and wouldn't change her for the world :)

In my state, I've found it varies massively and that's in only 1 state!! Usually a full lease is $300-400 and that means you're the only person getting to ride. A half lease is generally $150-225 for 3-4 days a of riding, if you are leasing from a lesson place sometimes this includes a lesson. Or the cost of a lesson at the private horse rate.
And those are per month costs.

I've always done feed leases... Meaning, You pay for food and other necessities and that's it. I have always kept the horse on my property also, that may make a difference.
