N2 vs N1 horse?

I have these 2 horses http://www.equiverse.com/horse.php?id=462359 and http://www.equiverse.com/horse.php?id=462715

The first a N1 and the second N2 but the don't get why as the first has higher stats and EXP. can anybody explain it too me?

Cron, which is essentially the passage of days on EV, may have to run before the first horse catches up to being N2. Stats-wise, both of them should be N2, but grades generally only update once a day. It may still update this morning (Cron often doesn't complete running until 9:00 or so) or it may take until tomorrow. If by, say, tomorrow around noon it hasn't updated, I would report it as a bug.
