Ability to unsubscribe from newsletters

#36491 Posted on 2016-05-05 13:16:25

I love being part of clubs but it'd be nice if you could chose to be exempt of newsletters, mainly because i'm a member of every club and i've gotten 20 or so newsletters in the past five days...

If you don't support than why?

Can you tell me where, then? It would be more helpful to me if you told me where instead of putting a bunch of periods :)

I think another option is have it so clubs you are subscribed to have a icon next to them for an unread newsletter instead of a notification? Like the icons for studs/mares but a ! Sign in an orange oval maybe next to their name?

So maybe the options could be "notify me via message notification" or "notify me via image notification" or the likes that way you don't get bombarded on login but will know there's an unread one by going to the clubhouse page in town?

I know that may be hard(er) to code in as it would have to be member specific to the clubs that you're in and not to the general population

Just a thought on my part, I'm on the fence of a support/don't support only because the newsletters are a great way to communicate quickly with all the club members about needed announcements.

Meh. that could work Rhine, I would just like some sort of option to be able to not have to be bombarded with the news letter notifications because I never read them so it's basically spam mail for me.

Just sharing a perspective here....I wouldn't consider being a club member if I wasn't actively participating. Newsletters are important ways for club prez's to communicate with members.

I support. But I do agree with Demure; if you're not active in a club, why are you in it?

Well you could be active in a club without having to read the newsletters, I have horses in clubs but still don't read the newsletters. I'm active in it, I just find newsletters more annoying than helpful especially if i'm in multiple clubs at once.
