It is currently October 15.

Weather
India: The monsoon season is over. The rains have finished receding only at the beginning of the month. The land has not dried out completely and the weather is humid and hot.
England: It's October. It's getting a little chillier, but not anything too uncomfortable. Ladies, it is recommended on the chillier days to wear a light shawl. Otherwise, do not worry about dressing warmly.

Wars in India
East India Company, rejoice! Burma is not wanting to dispute territory and no wars are currently being waged!

Where to Go for Shipping or Over-Seas Transportation
Shipping: Contact Mr. Thornt, the governor-general of the Company, if you wish to buy room on one of the Company's ships. If you do not wish to buy room on a Company ship, you can go to the docks and look for a boat that will ship.
Transport: If you wish to travel over-seas, go to the docks and ask around and see if any ships will take on an extra hand in exchange for free travel. Or, you could pay to be a passenger.
