World At Its Worst (Sign ups)

It has been only about one whole year when a fatal disease completely wiped out 99.8% of the world's human population. There hasn't been a single explanation as to how its happened, or where it even came from. There was hardly enough time to even figure out what it was, for everyone not immune came down with the deadly fever within a single week.
It's hard enough to get through the grief of loved ones dying, exploring dead cities, and fending off those who have lost their mind during the chaos, but what if things could become even harder?
The disease didn't only affect the humans. They're angry, desperate for the revenge they deserve. Seeing the humans clinging onto themselves set something off in them, it made them more intelligent. They feel as if human life has set them back, suppressed them from what they could have been. Life on earth, plants and animals alike, are taking back what was theirs in the first place.

Summary:
Basically, if you didn't get it from above, you are a human in the deserted world. It's been a year since then, supplies in stores are still good, and siphoning gas from cars is the easy part. For that one year, they only thing you had to worry about were other people, but the disease has taken over the minds of nature itself. Can you survive mother nature?

Description: Derik is a tall, muscular young man, who has obviously spent his spare time being active. His skin has a nice glow of a tan, and was a large contrast to his shimmering blue eyes. His silky black hair is spiked up on the top of head if he actually tries. Usually his hair is flat, and brushing close to his brows. His eyebrow is pierced with a stud to go along well with his look.
Personality: Slowly breaking down on the inside, but on the outside he's a very caring, father-like person. He won't hesitate to risk his life, but he also won't hesitate to put a bullet through one's head.
Current Weapon: An assault rifle he stole from a gun store in the first month of being alone.

Clothes: Usually she can be seen wearing her heavy, high marine boots with tattered khaki working uniform pants and sand colored t-shirt that has a few holes.

Personality: Mikaila is very stressed and saddened about her lost family, but never shows it. Instead she puts on a brave face and is cautious yet willing to take risks. She is a thoughtful, observant kind of person that works well under pressure.
Current Weapon: (lol, I'm not knowledgeable about weapons) A small knife and a handgun.

Personality: Jan mostly cares only about his own life, constantly putting his guard up. (That could change if he meets a special someone). He is observant and heedful, but is not afraid to hurt anybody who seems like a threat. He has leadership qualities, yet he shows no interest in being a leader and prefers to keep to himself.

Description: Quite unlike her brother, she is sickly thin, and quite a pale color. Her hair reaches just below her shoulder blades in calm waves, unlike her personality. Her eyes matched her brother's, a clear blue.
Personality: Unlike her brother, she isn't as caring and warm as he is. She's sassy, and talks a big game even with her sick figure. She has no problem leaving someone behind if she has a problem with them, and definitely doesn't have a problem shooting someone. She's not breaking down like her brother, she'd over it.
Current Weapon: She mainly uses her trusty nailed baseball bat, but she down have dual wield pistols attached to her belt.

Okay guys, I'm making the roleplay cause I think 8 characters is a good start! If anyone wants to join, they can. They is no particular story, so you can jump in at any time.

Age: 22
Gender: Female
Description: She is a bit on the muscular side for a girl but she is not real bulky on the other hand.She has hazel eyes. Her dark brown sleek hair reaches to her lower back almost to her waist line, but most of the time it is straitened or put into a high pony tail. Her skin is like a sun kissed tan color. She has a scar on her right lower side from a fight she had gotten into with an intruder after the disease had spread its tentacles to everywhere possible. Her clothes are always the tightest of clothes usually consisting of jump suits in which she had made it out into the outer world. ( will explain the jump suit in a bit....)
Personality: She is definitely considered on the more aggressive side of people. They tend to stray away from her in hopes she won't scrape them raw to the bone. She has a hot headed attitude in which her mouth can get her in some trouble. She has always scowled at all the consequences they have given her for her behavior as if she wasn't scared or didn't care what they did to her. she is definitely the type you better watch what you do or say to her.

She was born and raised as a regular child... till she reached her teens. That's when the behavior kicked in and it wasn't a good behavior. she was always a trouble maker didn't care what they put her through. when she was in her 20s she was sent to prison for warnings and robbery all around. They sentenced er to 30 years. That was when the disease wiped out everyone in sight. She and a couple others were the only ones left in there cells while everyone had died in the prison. She was able to break through the bars with the help from a nearby dead prison guard. The whole place reeked of dead smell as they swarmed the area. With her jumpsuit and nothing but that she ran off to were no one could find her at least no one that was alive. she had his in her special place ever since. ( and Cows rule!)

Description: he is tall and skinny. Not really on the pale side but not on the tan side, more in the middle. He has sparkling blue eyes and has a short cut hair do. He usually wears jeans and whatever T-shirt he can find laying around.
Personality: he is strong but is very weak at the same time... He can be tense around girls or anyone he finds cute or apealing... lets just say he is the friendlier type.

Description: Juliette has jet black hair that sweeps over her right eye and reaches down to her shoulder. Juli keeps her hair down, feeling that if she does so she'll be able to hide herself from the world. She is built skinny and tall, about 5'6, allowing her to fit into tight spaces other people couldn't normally fit in. Her skin is pale and very white. Juliette has several scars along both of her wrists, mostly from wounds. She tends to wear all black, favoring her black leather jacket, skinny jeans, a worn-out pair of black Converse high tops, and a t-shirt. Juli's eyes are a piercing blue and hide all her emotion.
Personality: Juliette is really a sweet person underneath all the walls she has put up around herself. She is tough and ruthless towards her enemies, but she hates it. Juli knows what's necessary to survive in this new world and will do what is needed to protect herself. Juli will not hesitate to kill, but uses her remaining arrows wisely. Juli does best working by herself, but wishes for someone to be by her. Even with all her troubles, Juli hides her emotions well and it is hard to know what she is thinking. On top of that, she is extremely smart and cunning.
Current Weapon: A silver bow with a sheath of 12 arrows

@PurpleMagic It's not a major factor, but it's up to the people who feel as if their characters would be a great match. It's not banned, or discouraged. This is realistic-ish, and sometimes it something that happens. I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable! :c
