Locking Up

#32690 Posted on 2016-04-21 01:53:39

I'll be locking up tomorrow-Sunday.We're taking my Ford Mustang down to Georgia at our house. It'll be the first time I've been back in my hometown since we moved in 2009. We're moving down to GA in just a few weeks. I'm super excited, but also nervous.

I'll try to take some pictures of the property, and house. As we've been revamping the house, and he looks brilliant! Wood floors, new kitchen, new fireplace, new mantel, new barn, new fences, new arena, and so much more!

It'll take about 10 hours to get there, the Mustang is loaded on a trailer, with our Ford truck pulling. Very big, and very comfortable.

@madoka: Where are you moving to?

I'm so thankful we kept our house in GA, when we moved to VA. So, many memories there. One reason is we buried mom's beloved horse Darq Justise (DJ) there. He died at only 6 years old, from an unknown illness. I could go on and on about the vet that let him die. Her first words when we brought him to the Emergency Vet, "That is a horse that wants to die". She took him off all of his medications, except for his IV. A week or so later sent him home. A few days later he died, and it wasn't a peaceful death. Our vet couldn't get there in time to put him to sleep.

Our boy was a 15 hh Black Arabian Gelding. Here's a ref I made of him

Our vet, said she definitely didn't think he would die. It shouldn't have been fatal.

Sorry I just had to share.
