Meet Blub! c:
No, just kidding...

Meet Jax!
I just got him today.
He's super sweet and very active.

He's got a nice 2.5 gallon tank to roam in.
Hopefully he'll love it ♥

Please share pictures of your fishes!! :D
I know there's another thread about showing off pets...
But I figured we could use a thread just for fish! c:

Oh that's awesome! :D
Can't wait to see.
I wish I had a bigger place to live.
Because I'd totally have lots of bigger tanks!
Darn small apartments having no space :p lol

I'M SO HAPPY HE'S IN AT LEAST 2.5 GALLONS

Though I have to suggest: silk/fabric (not craft store, ones from the pet store!) plants instead of plastic because male bettas can rip their fins easily, and sand flooring instead of rocks because poop is easier to clean and won't make your tank as dirty or moldy as it can with rocks! Also, you should get a small, quiet filter off amazon and a low-watt heater :D bettas are tropical and love heat.

I used to have 5 bettas and then 1 after those before my dad made me get rid of him too ; ~ ; they were in 5 and 10 gallon tanks. Fishkeeping is an awesome hobby.

2.5 is still way too small, but at least he has a filter and all that, and hopefully getting bi-weekly water changes?

My last boy was stuck in a stupid .75 gallon and I had JUST gotten a 30 gallon for him when I had to move out and all the water sloshing during driving was too stressful for him. I shouldn't have gotten him anyway, but he was so pretty... which is why his name was Scheiß Fisch...

This is Charles :3
My BF says I can't have any animals... but I convinced him that fishes are cool and now he loves Charles xD
I used to have a 45G (Eheim classic 250 rated for 60G and a 45G hang on with a biofilter) with a a dojo loach, figure 8 puffer, rafael catfish, peakcock eel and a small school (maybe like 5) female balloon mollys (bc they are so fat and funny looking when they swim). I really want a 350G so I could get a freshwater stingray....

My local aquarium stocks Veil tail, Deltas and the occasional Rose tail betta and I've been eyeing them up for the last couple of years. I'd love to buy one though I already have a tropical fish tank and though I do have an extra tank for more fish, it's more of a hospital tank when needed and of course there's the water ecosystem to be set up with filler fish and I'd need another filter and light, etc. Not to mention since I'm not at home most of the time it wouldn't get the attention it deserves.

THAT BEING SAID, I love my current fish tank, I'd show pictures but my fish, however sensitized I've gotten them to a camera lens, just refuse to be photographed well. So google for images because they look exactly the same anyway. xD I own a mix of Harlequins, Neon tetras, one male Silvertip tetra that used to have two female companions but he bullied them to death, he's quite happy on his own chilling with the Harlequins. Annnd the newest additions to the tank, two Lemon tetras that were a christmas present, they've settled in quite nicely.

The main star of the tank however is Marlene (or Merlin, but they're a girly girl), a red tailed black shark we bought two years ago as a baby. She's finally moved house from a cramped roman ruins monument to a nice roomy cave ornament that's she's ignored in the tank for months. Red tails are bottom feeders so she doesn't bother the other fish unless they get in her way, usually the neons. I swear they do it on purpose.

I'm supposed to buy more fish at some point to replace the gold cloud mountain minnows that unfortunately passed away this year only I've yet to decide whether it's going to be more minnows or something else entirely. (What I really want are blind cave tetras because they're so freaking cool ♥♥ but expensive in my local aquarium :c)

Zell; thanks for the info! :) Looks like I'll be stopping at the pet store again!
But yes, he has a heater and a filter also. That I knew about :)

Vos; I've never had a problem with this tank, but maybe when I get more money I can check into a larger tank. And yes, he gets bi-weekly water changes! :)

My mom has a male double tail/halfmoon hybrid betta. He's a light red almost pink color. He's about a year old, his name is Phoenix.

My two bettas passed away a few months ago. Thunderbird (a blue, green, and black) Double/Halfmoon hybrid male. Kuzco (a solid Black with various rainbow iridescent) scales) halfmoon betta male.

Now I just have my main tank.
We have two Long Skirt Tetras (Mr. Skelly & TJ), two Tiger Barbs (Tuffnut & Ruffnut), four or five Zebra Danios (Known as 'The Hobbits'), and the star of the tank Toothless a 6inch Female (it's the gender we chose) Rainbow Shark. Who is going to be 7 years old this year! We got her in 2009, and she was so small.

I'll add pictures when I can.
