What is Desirable for Stats Now?

#275279 Posted on 2024-09-16 13:36:18

Yo, hello, friends! It's been awhile since I've been on, and right when I was leaving, there was talk of the stats changing to favor horses who had high stats all across, rather than low NSS. Can anyone tell me what folks seem to be looking for when it comes to horse stats now? I want to figure out what I want to do with whatever is happening with my breeding program, lol.

Low NSS tends to be the favored thing right now. Some people don't care, but most aren't looking at anything over 60 total NSS, which is kind of "baseline" for a foundation. The lower, the better, and now you can breed down the NSS as well, which is helpful. Selling can be really hit or miss these days, so if you aren't all that focused on selling to other people, then I'd just do whatever makes you happiest c:

Welcome back! And I also feel like the majority of players still around breed for low nss and showing. Although with that I'm also not very active in the really high statted regions.
But I'm perfectly comfortable my horses mostly showing around L/R grades ^_^

Oooh and Welshies! We can use more active Welsh pony breeders/players

Lol yeah it takes a while to get up to being competitive with higher stats, but it's a fun challenge!

also YES I have always loved the Welshies here because you get a lot of the fun colors and one of my favorite arts in the whole game. I'm definitely enjoying transitioning out my Arabians (sad for them) because I've just always had more fun with the Welshies. :3 I also love that you show your Welsh ponies in different groups! I feel like not enough folks do that, but like I've said, it's been awhile ...

Yes they have really great art and plenty of colors (though I've been distracted by a couple breeds that have seal brown, champagne and patterns ;) )
The different groups is mostly just because the amount of projects exploded. And when I pick up a new specialty/project, I just can't seem to do it with only a hand full of ponies hahaha

Yesss, I had a side account for awhile that was Gypsy Vanners ... I have a soft spot for them because of it.

No that's so real, I'm trying to get myself to put away my racing ponies, but I love all of them? even when I've messed up the stats or something lol

Oh lol, just now spotted I did the second reply with my GV side account haha

Racing Welshies as well? I got into them completely by accident, but I love 'em!

No, ur ok, I was able to figure out it was still you lol

Yes!! I'll have to come back to the project later, just because I have so many others in different groups, but it just made sense at the time to pick up a couple that were decent in ... the skills they actually had, haha, rather than trying to train them to something else, or else giving up on what was a really decent pony.
