Hey, y'all. Pretty much what the title says: What colors are considered desirable for certain breeds? I'm pretty sure chestnut Friesians are still popular, for example, but what about, say, Lipizzaners?

Yeah, same. I'm theoretically trying to breed non-grey chestnuts, but it's slow going. Of my original four horses, two are EE GG, one is Ee GG, and the fourth is EE Gg.

I currently have a really good line of chestnut friesians going.. all are doing well in showing. I’m super proud. I’ve got a bunch of breeds that I breed for really nice colors and low NSS. It just depends on the breed.

I second the chestnut Firesians, I have a few and they're my pride and joy, next to my low nss sabino arabs♥

I breed SOLID paint horses, so specifically look for and breed them to have no painted genes. Colour as such doesnt bother me but do have a couple of rare colours like moreno and moreno dun. Also love a good silver or more rare colour.
