Fay
"Yes I did. She looked to be a palomino, but I couldn't really tell, but not only that she is tall. I hate being stuck in-" she was interrupted by some commotion near the entrance. There was a brown dog with a bit of white who seemed to be chasing that cat who arrived along with the new mare. Fay reared as they entered the pasture she was in, and nearly ran into her. She gave a snort when she was calmed down, and gave a stomp with her hoof.

Admiral
Admiral snorted at the horse and backed away slightly. She greeted the mare with a meek 'hello' and pretended to be upset when Esprit was whisked away by Clay. Her mood quickly switched and she shook herself to rid all the flies that were on her. She didn't know when Kisa would come to return her but in the meantime, she would start to graze. It wasn't long before she saw someone walking toward her from the corner of her eye. Looking up, she was met with the wide grin of Lucy, Admiral's assigned groom, who seemed to be the kind of girl who would take her job seriously.

Lucy
Lucy slipped a halter onto the tall mare's head and clipped a lead rope before leading her out to a wash stall. When they arrived, Lucy could tell that Admiral was happy she would only be groomed. If only she knew she'd have to be rinsed down with water later, she thought, though she'd at least spare the horse for a while. As Lucy brushed through the mare's coat, she made sure to get rid of all the dirt and grime, though Admiral was never one for looking pretty, and she was gentle when combing the knots from her mane and tail. She picked up Admiral's hooves and used a hoof pick to make sure that it would be a comfortable ride. "Kisa went out and found you some comfortable tack for when you go out to ride" the groom informed Admiral as she tightened the girth of the saddle. Admiral nickered in response and otherwise stayed quiet as Lucy finished tacking her up.

Salem
Salem hissed at the mare who now stood in his way. "Hey, watch it!" he said in a childish male voice. "You're going to hit someone with that giant hoof of yours" he sat down for a brief moment to lick the pad of one of his paws before the loud bark behind him reminded him of his chase. He screeched as he jumped high in the air and the chase continued. "Hasta la vista!" he yelled as he slipped through the fence and into the barn.

Kisa
Kisa entered the wash stall where Lucy stood next to a newly tacked-up Admiral. She walked forward and grabbed the reins of the bridle. She inspected how the bit fit on her horse, and she came to the conclusion that it wasn't the most uncomfortable she'd seen. "Thank you Lucy" Kisa thanked her groom who nodded silently before slinking off to do some other task. Kisa gave Admiral another once-over before she led her out of the stall. They went off to begin their chores, and in the meantime, Kisa trotted Admiral around the barn to stretch out her muscles, thouh the mare had done quite a bit of galloping earlier and didn't really need it.

Fay
"Oh I'm sorry. Maybe next time you shouldn't run into a paddock like that." She said in a bit of a rude tone. Fay was never much for cat's. She stayed near the fence, and began to graze. The grass was sweet and moist, and the filly liked it. She grazed for awhile almost forgetting Trucker was still beside hey on the opposite side of the fence.

Dozer
The hairy dog continued to chase the cat, and made sure to stay clear of the horses. He was caught off guard when he noticed the pond, and darted straight for it. Dozer loved the water, and you couldn't keep him out of it.

Salem
Salem was very confused when Dozer stopped chasing him to throw himself at the pond. He completely pushed aside the fact that the dog had been chasing him like a hound dog and got close to the water's edge. He was careful not to get too close, of course, or surely it wouldn't end well. The kitten hated water. He didn't know how to swim and he hated how heavy it made his fur. So he tried to stay away from water as much as possible. Baths, however, were still inevitable. He also hated taking baths, but at least he didn't drown in the tub.

Trucker
Trucker flicked his tail at the on-going mare attitude.. he’d flick his tail at a fly.. Trucker arises his head as he watched the palomino mare and then the roan mare.. He caught a glimpse of William DuPont catching a glaze at him as Trucker was facing the roan mare.. Trucker noticed a few mares being oddly weird towards him.. He’d show no sign of interest in the mares.. He’d turn around and fixed his attention back on grazing

Fay
Fay looked up from grazing," Is something wrong?" she asked the stallion. She looked at him, but not for long. "It'd be nice to go on a ride right now," she said, but mostly to herself. Her attention went to the dog who had gotten out of the pond, and was now running around the place shaking the water off in the process. Fay looked up as she could tell it was getting hotter, but she didn't worry about that right now.

Remy
Remy wagged his tail excitedly when he saw Dozer romping in the water. "Finally someone who likes the water just as much as I do!" Remy launched himself into the pond and barked a hello at the dog. Remy's attention was snapped away by a tiny figure running around on the pond's edge. "CAT!" Remy yelled, and he took off at full speed after it. Remy hated cats, but he sure loved a good chase. The cat looked a little puny and slow, but it would do. Remy chased it recklessly, running into barrels and hitting walls trying to go after the cat.

Esprit
Esprit 'accompanied' Clay on a ride outside the ranch, to the closest tack store around. It was quite far, but close enough to ride to and back in under 2 hours time. Clay double checked all the fencing and stalls, to make sure everything was secure before he left. Esprit waited patiently as he did so, rambling on to a less than impressed barn cat. When Clay finally mounted, he beckoned her toward the gate of the ranch. She nickered goodbye to anyone who would listen, and the pair were on their way to the tack store. Esprit loved to go see the outside world, which honestly did not consist of much. They passed a few old abandoned houses, some single-pump gas stations, and one old general store. William had told Clay he bought the ranch in the middle of nowhere to keep the peace, and Clay agreed. It was nice to hardly have anyone around.

Clay
When Clay and Esprit arrived at the tack store, Clay tied Esprit up and went in to grab some fly spray and a few brushes. "Be right back, this shouldn't take long." Clay grabbed his items and before they knew it they were back on their way to the ranch. He tipped his hat to the occasional passerby, but the trip home was uneventful. "Hopefully everything's goin' smooth back at the ranch, no?" Clay asked Esprit's opinion and laughed lightly as they trotted back up to the ranch entrance.

Salem
Salem ran as fast as his little legs could take him, which wasn't very fast. He was still young and he'd never had to run away that fast before. Salem and Koda had a decent relationship and so he never paid much attention to the dog. However, this was a situation where he wished Koda would help him. The corgi wasn't very big but he sure was much faster than the pudgy kitten. "Why is everyone chasing me! I just want to enjoy a nice nap, is that too much to ask for" He yelled out to no one in particular, though the wind carried his voice somewhat far.

Admiral
Admiral trotted along the round pen. She and Kisa had finished their chores and now they had some time to themselves. Admiral was a young mare. She was used to being ridden, and she knew that Kisa wanted to use her for racing or perhaps pole bending, but as of now, the pair was focused on commands. Admiral wasn't good at commands. She was a bit stubborn at times, but that wasn't the worst part. She was very slow when halting and even slower changing gaits. She could tell that sometimes it frustrated Kisa, but she never heard her rider complain.

Kisa
Kisa was more than frustrated. Not at Admiral or even herself, but more of the lack of progress they'd made. She never voiced her anger out loud. She felt it would only make things slower. And so she put on a smile and spoke to her horse in a calm manner. If Kisa let her frustration show, it would only make Admiral more prone to her ignorance and she knew that wouldn't end well. Even if progress was slow, Kisa let Admiral know that she was proud of her and she would encourage the mare to work hard in any way she could.

Koda
Koda was running about, minding his own business. He wanted to try to find some other dogs in the barn, as he was getting a bit lonely without Kisa. Heck, he would take the cat Salem if it meant he'd have someone to bother. Finally, he came across a pond where one of the dogs Dozer was swimming. Koda didn't really hate water, but he didn't like it either. It wasn't much of a problem for him to jump in the water, but he did feel bad knowing Kisa would have to wash him later. He swam over to Dozer and introduced himself.

Dozer
Dozer introduced himself to the other dog, and went to swim further into the pond. He enjoyed swimming as it was part of his breed to be around water, and of course love the water. The pup was happy at the ranch, room to run, water to swim in. Fascinating things like squirrels, or the horses. It was a good life for a dog.

Trucker
Trucker nodded at the roan mare who spoke at him.. He’d click his tongue and nodded at the mare.  “Nah I’m good. I prefer the pasture much more” he’d throw his head up and down as soon as he saw Lanie walk over with a fly mask, and fly sheet.. She’d go under the pasture fences and ran over to trucker throwing in a fly blanket. he’d lower his head as she fixed the fly sheet and put on his bell boots , including the fly mask. Trucker huffed as his stomach went wide and then inflated due to his heavy breath. He flicked his forelock..

Fay
Fay turned to notice some of the mares. She gave a snort when she noticed a few of them trying to get Trucker's attention. "Glad I'm not like them. Always trying to get a stallions attention." she said looking back at Trucker as the fly sheet was being placed on him. The filly gave a nicker, and a slight rear before she started to canter along the paddock fence. She enjoyed cantering and galloping along the fence. Even though she stayed clear of the other horses. Fay decided to speed up to a gallop. The filly lifted her head, and gave a neigh of happiness. She was starting to settle in to this place, and figured this was a place to call home.

Leslie
Leslie had grabbed Fay's leadrope and walked into the paddock. "Who's this person?" Fay said, but mainly to herself. She was led out of the pasture and into a small round pen. Fay didn't know what they were gonna do, but she cooperated anyway even though she didn't know this person. Leslie lunged the filly in circles forcing her to stay at a steady trot. Every now and then, Leslie would have Fay switch directions. The two were at it for a good hour or maybe even two. When finished, Elijah offered to groom the filly and give her a bath. Though Leslie did it herself. She didn't mind, and knew the poor job that boy did. Fay was glad Leslie chose to give her a bath, and groom her. Fay's coat was also a show coat along with Trucker's.

Fay
When she was finished being groomed, Fay was back in the pasture. She was given her special feed, and she ate it gratefully. The filly kept to herself minding her own business as she drank from the through. Fay was a bit spooked when a grullo mare approached the through silently. Fay gave a snort and trotter away quickly to the oak tree for shade.
The filly turned an ear behind her hearing some of the stallions trying to get her attention once again. She pinned her ears, and gave a loud snort even though they just kept on going.

Fay
Fay was getting annoyed with the stallions. She wasn't interested in any of them. Her and Trucker were just friends. Weren't they? The filly kept her ears pinned straight against her neck, and pawed the ground. When were they going to leave her be? Fay just wanted to jump the fence, and kick 'em til they left her alone. No matter where she was, it always happened, and she hated it. The filly wasn't the only strawberry roan out there. Her mother was a red roan minimal tobiano. Fay's father was just a grullo. Fay had inherited her mother's looks, but got her father's strength and skill. Oh how she missed them so.
Right when Fay had enough, and was just about to teach those foolish stallions a lesson, someone Fay didn't recognize came into the paddock. The person attached the lead rope, and led the filly to go get tacked up. Her name was Emma, and Fay wondered if this would be her new rider was. After getting tacked up, Emma mounted the filly. Oh how weird it was to be ridden. Though, Fay didn't mind. She loved going on rides no matter what they were going to do. To her surprise, barrels were what the highlight was today.
"Your previous owner said you were good at barrels, so let's see what you got!" Emma said as they entered the outdoor arena which could be seen from the indoor arena. Now this is more like it! Fay thought to herself as they entered the arena. Within less than a second Fay was at a full on gallop going straight for the first barrel. She quickly went around the barrel with ease, as she did the same with the second. Now all that was left was the third and final barrel. A couple grooms who passed by stopped to watch, including the owner of the place; William Davis. Once, Fay turned around the final barrel without touching it, she galloped as fast as she could to the finish. Once she did, Fay went to a complete stop with dirt flying up everywhere.
"Her past owner said she was good and fast, but man I've never seen or rode a horse who can do barrels like that." Emma said after taking a breather.
William agreed,"I knew she had something special. Well why don't you untack her, and place her on the hot walker." Emma listened, and placed the filly on the hot walker after getting a quit rinse down, brushing, and after getting untacked. After being on the hot walker for a bit, Fay was once again in the pasture where the stallions would once again annoy and agitate her. She was still shy around others, even Trucker a bit still, so she wished someone would help her out since she didn't have the guts to right now.
