Is there any way to get credits without buying them?

I'm assuming you mean: how do you get credits without paying with real cash. Which is totally understandable. Credits are a great part of the economy on this game.

If so, then you can purchase credits (commonly called EVC) from other players with EVD (equiverse dollars) or by trading. To purchase EVC with EVD, you can usually find a few for sale by other players in the credit sale page for varying prices depending on the market. In the market place itself you can often see people with things for sale and they are asking for credits. Some people make and sell art for EVD or EVC. 

It can be tough when you're a new player to figure out how to make EVD, in which case, it is super helpful to read these articles under the "Game Guides" forum. I just came back from a long hiatus and felt like I was a newbie all over again. These guides helped me get on track and develop some good strategies.

It's also possible(but very rare) to get a credit from the fountain, and if you progress for 28 consecutive days you get 2 credits :)
