Hi guys. I was just sitting around and this thought came to me. I wrote a little story about it, and I want you to hear it. I am sorry if this makes you sad, but reading it, it reminds me of a beautiful life. I hope you can enjoy this story as much as I did. -- Divine Beast Written by TruQue -Dedicated to every lost soul, every lost life, and every lost love- I pressed my sweat-beaded forehead into his, and looked- for just a moment’s time, into his large, milky, soft blue eyes. His pupils danced around his eyes, with all the panic, all the tragedy, all the sadness in the world- and yet they were still kind. Still gentle. Still beautiful. I closed my eyes and breathed my sad breath onto his face, and after all that time you would believe the terror of uncontrolled breath would scare him, intimidate him, and it did not. I felt his strong, thick muscles relax just under his eyes. He had closed them. He had joined me in this beautiful darkness. In this deathless death. I reached up and threaded my fingers into his long, spiraling locks. His hair was untamable, often falling in his face- a mane. I felt a single strand rest upon my cheek. I do not want to leave this endless night. I want my eyes to remain shut forever. I want to always feel his tangled locks upon my face. I want him to welcome my fiery breath, and I want him to breathe back into mine. He smelled of mud and daises, of trimmed grass and sweaty saddle pads. I dug my face further into his coat, and yet he remained still. A divine beast, a gentle giant, a never-ending song. He let out a single huff, and his hot breath clashed with the ripe air. Thunder rolled in the distance, trailing out in the heavens. I felt a single tear crawl down my face and cease at my chin- as if it were saying farewell to a dying friend. It dropped and became one with the mud below me, never to be known again. I feared that is what I would become- but I released my hands from the marvelous beast in front of me. I watched him as he brought up his sad eyes to meet mine. His legs shifted below him, and the steady horse I had once known had rekindled his wild spirit. He glanced one last sad, long glance. And just as he was there, he was galloping into the leaving thunder. He let loose one last cry, one last cry that shattered the air and my own heart at which it hit. His large, milky, soft blue eyes faded into the night- and the divine beast was gone. --- Anyways, I hope you liked it, although I know you probably don't care. :) It is rather short, but, I just thought it was nice while it lasted. -T Last edited on 2021-03-03 at 05:04:21 by ᴛʀᴜQᴜᴇ
