It's a Christmas Miracle for Callie Cat

#231406 Posted on 2020-12-16 16:11:32

For those that showed their support and words of comfort back in September when Callie was vomiting for four days in a row. An when we took her to the vet and they x-rayed her to confirm her intestines were swollen from her vomiting. Then with our Veterinarian diagnosing her with either IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which can be maintained and help prolong her life as comfortably as possible with a Steroid shot when she gets her Vomiting again. Or Lymphoma but, there's no way to tell unless you get an Ultrasound which we opted not to do. Well Callie started becoming Vomity last Friday so we took her to the Vet again and they gave her the shot and weighed her. Last time they weighed her she was 5 pounds but, they weighed her again and Callie is back to her normal weight of 7 pounds. Which our vet said was a "Christmas Miracle" since she's still on a routine every 5 weeks to get the shot. Some cat's require it more often and Callie is very lucky so far.  Just figured to update you all on her since some of you all cared and expressed your feelings a lot when I posted my monthly updates on Callie Cat.

Daphne, I am happy to hear this about your kitty. I lost my beloved Bentley last December. He was so sick that even the vet said to just let nature take its course. So he passed away at home surrounded by his family. It has been very different with out him here. He was only 6 and we had him since he was born
This is my baby Bentley

Pepper- I’m so sorry for your beloved Bentley, he looked so handsome and cute. Callie’s sister Bailey we had to put down in 2017 due to Kidney Cancer and that was rough. Thank you though for your kind words with Callie

Velox- Thank you so much

Indeed we will take all the Christmas Miracles we can get, right??!! I'm so happy for all of you and for Callie that she is doing so well! And to have regained her weight back is awesome. I don't think I realized that she was a Senior kitty, so that is even better that she is holding her ground. May it continue! Give her a pet for me!

@Pepper...I'm so sorry for your loss...it's so hard when they leave us, let alone so young. He was certainly a beautiful boy!
