Sorting Mail Messages

I glanced through the pinned post and didn't see this marked anywhere..
Something that I, and probably many others, would find helpful would be the ability to sort mail.

In my case, it's art related. I don't want to delete messages just in case something needs looked at but I also don't want to lose track of others either. If we could make tabs to sort them into, that would be exceptionally helpful. If not that, perhaps be able to change their colors or put icons in front of the message?

I support, I think a lot of things needs to be added to messages. Titling conversations, messages not only being able to show so many messages before deleting the old ones, and this - I'd never thought of it, but I like it!
