What Breeds Should I Draw?

#22738 Posted on 2016-03-24 16:31:21

My mom has given me an assignment, to draw any other animal than horses. So, I chose dogs, and birds.

I'm not coloring these, they will be uncolored/unshaded drawings. Though, they will be as detailed as possible.

I'm looking to draw 4 of each 'category' of dogs. Toy, Sporting, Working, Non-Sporting, Herding, Terrier, and Hound/Hunting Group.

Birds I'm looking to do about 10.
Hopefully, I'll take some pictures of the progress, as well as a collage of the finished assignments. I'm doing these in my biggest sketch book. 11 in. x 14 in.

Ones I've Drawn

Dogs
Boston Terrier (terrier group)
Italian Greyhound (toy group)
Border Collie (herding group)

Birds
None

Anyways, post away! I may give a little gift to the people who suggest something I like.

Australian Koolie.

Thought he was a blue heeler, come to discover another breed that looks like him more than a heeler, and they's called Koolies, coincidentally, both aussie in origin.

Love these suggestions. I know for certain I'm doing a cockatiel, and a parakeet. We used to breed both, and they're just such nice birds. We had about 8-10 cockatiels, and 15+ parakeets.

do cockatoos
i own two (a moluccan and an umbrella)
which im sure if i were to make a post or posts pictures, some people would then butt in supposedly knowing it all and be like "you should do this, or this is best for them"
and then get a pleasant punch in the throat and a kick to the teeth.
which is why i dont talk about them.
