Model horse tack

Does anyone here make model horse tack? I have a Gypsy cob horse that I made several years ago, and a gypsy caravan that I bought from a charity shop. They are pretty much in scale with each other, and now I want to make some harness for the horse. I like the driving harness we have here on EV so want to make something similar, however I have no idea how any of this stuff works, like how does the harness attach to the caravan? I've looked at some pics on Google, but it all looks horribly complicated. The horse is small, roughly schleich scale.

Does anyone have any links for tutorials/ harness for dummies type sites? 
I'm also looking at making western tack for another horse, but he's a lot bigger.
