Conformation and Riding School Questions

Hiiii! It has been a very long time since I've played here and I have a couple questions.

Is there much point to conformation besides just a breeding goal? Does it affect show placement in any way or any other parts of the game?

Also, do my horses have to work at a riding school that matches their discipline? Are there any benefits to matching disciplines or are the stat points given at random at the end of completing the work the same no matter if you match the discipline?

Conformation is just a breeding goal for now. 

You can use any riding school discipline, but you get a minor boost to exp and earnings for matching the discipline to your horse.  Stats and benefits like treat gains are random.
