Someone had his teeth floated.

Rudy has his teeth floated today, he did very well with the vet. Required the normal amount of sedation he gave enough for a 500 pound animal. But Rudy wasn’t quite all that knocked out so gave him a bit more. An he was a very good egg, the vet did let me stick my arm in his mouth and I got to feel the sharp points all the way in his mouth. Then the vet noticed Rudy had a wolf tooth on one side and he asked me if Rudy swings his head and has issues with the bit in his mouth. Which he does sometimes. So he removed it and I kept the wolf tooth. He was pretty zonked out and kept lowering his head down all sleepy. But he did very good considering it was the first time with me owning him, that I’ve gotten to see him get his teeth floated.

Aww drowsy pony. Hope he gets over the tooth removal quickly and you both enjoy many head shaking free adventures :)

Awwww thank you so much Fabel! He’s doing very good, I went back this evening to check on him and he came to the gate wanting cookies. I just can’t ride him for a couple days.

How funny, 2 of my 3 horses had their teeth done the same day!  My oldest is my paint mare who is 21 and the vet was in there feeling around and said she had a loose tooth. Then she said it was very loose as she held it up in her hand. It just came right out while she was kind of wiggling it.  I have a picture of Shelby's tooth as well. I did not get it uploaded to imgur or anything but did post a picture in the discord the day it happened. 

I'm sure he feels much better having the wolf tooth out!
