@Bela: Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! ♥

@Wiki: Thank you! I've looked at HP's too and there are a few I have considered. As for Sims 4, I totally agree! I have it but I cannot say it lives up to Sims 3 >.> I'm probably not enough of an intellectual enough for it LOL. Thanks for the link, I will look into them! ♥

@Evermore: Thank you so much! I agree for sure. Also, reviews are gold! I try to take them with a grain of salt too as people's experiences and explanations can vary in exaggeration too, though for the most part they are helpful. Asus is what I am looking into the most right now. Thank you for the info! ♥

@Maple: Thank you! I haven't heard of the TUF so I will look into those, I've looked into the ROG versions which is obviously more gaming-centered but nevertheless great systems. I saw a good amount of reviews with issues that could be fixed easily and in some cases requiring returning the computer or a part, so I will consider that as well. My boyfriend recommended one of the new Asus ROG laptops (Zephyrus, I believe) which looks great, but considering it's so new I am not sure how much they have been able to patch since the release. Thank you again for all of the info and experience! ♥

@Cryptic Cat: Thanks! I do prefer a desktop, but being a college student I need a portable one for classes, clubs, and such. I have a new desktop sitting here, but unfortunately, the person who gifted it to me did not look into the storage, so it only has about 30GB and cannot run much at all. I'm trying not to go by brand either, as I have not heard of a few of the ones mentioned. I think all have pros and cons as does everything. I've been searching by specs (it's kinda fun) and making spreadsheets! Haha. Thank you! ♥

They do tend to push the ROG range over the TUF range- even if you look at their sites TUF isn't even a search option so I'm of the mind that they may be retiring that brand of laptop possibly. I actually only found it from looking at refurbished laptops originally and it suited me more than a ROG one did, particularly in looks and design. I found the TUF ones to look a lot more sleeker than the more bulky/boyish looking ROG (but I'm just super picky). The Zephyrus was released right as I was buying my laptop and was waayyy out of my price range, if you compare the parts in it to some cheaper models it's really not that much of an upgrade for some of the models in the range.

@Maple: Right! I liked the Zephyrus but it does not have a webcam, which isn't a terrible thing but I'd rather not have to buy an external one.

Overall, I went ahead and bought this bad boy and absolutely love it so far!

Thank you everyone for your insight and recommendations, they really helped me look around and narrow it down!

Wow, nice laptop! May it serve you well!    :)    Score on the SSD! Definately a good route for a laptop (PC, too, for that matter).
