So, we had gotten a new puppy a couple of months ago. Her name is Ruby Sue, she is a Labradoodle(lab x poodle) We got her at 8 weeks old, so she was very young. Yall know how puppies are, crazy, and like to eat EVERYTHING. So, she is now 8 months old, she is not fixed yet because the pandemic and our vet is still closed.
So, she should be house trained and not sue the bathroom in the house, but she just keeps using the bathroom in the house. We have done just about everything we can, but nothing works. And, before the pandemic, oh gosh, we just got a new couch, leather. And we had left for school and both my mom and stepdad work while we are at school then my sister in high school takes us home. So, anyway, we came home and we always put the puppy up, cause shes a puppy, shell eat everything. Well, we open the door and she had somehow opened her cage and was running around the house ALL DAY. She had eaten part of the BRAND NEW couch.
So, 3 days ago, we thought she was ready for us to put a rug out cause we had taken out when she was a puppy so she wouldn't have any accidents on it. Well, my youngest brother, Brody, which is 8, let her out and was playing with her. But then he went upstairs to his room and left her out with our other dog. I came downstairs to get something to eat and found she had chewed a big hole right threw the carpet. My stepdad was really mad cause it was a really expensive rug, and that wasn't the first thing she'd done. She was digging holes in the yard, eating anything she could find, and using the bathroom in the house all the time. So, my stepdad was tired of it and was going to get rid of her.
Some of you know, when she was about 3 months old, she fell off the bed and broke her back leg, and it was over $1,000 in x rays and surgeries and cast and pain med. And, we also paid $400 for her. So, shes not a cheap dog. My mom talked to my step dad and they decided to keep her, but we have to always be watching her and keep a close eye on her.
She looked like this when we got her:
(not my image, from google)
She looks like this now:
This is my image, she is so funny looking she has a beard and hairy legs XD
This is my other dog:
Mae Mobley!(here name came from the movie The Help(the little girl the maid was taking care of))
She is a mutt, lab pitbull, boxer mix. She is reallllllly fat, she weighs over 90 pounds! She does not like other dogs, but this is the only dog she has ever gotten along with.

Hi,
Have you tried puppy pads? Our yorkie, Copper, who is 1 years old, uses the puppy pads.
He goes outside, in the morning and in the afternoon.

Sounds like you guys have your hands full! Puppies are sooo much work, especially high energy ones, which sounds like what you have.
Have you heard of Cesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer? Look him up, the man knows his stuff about dogs and his approach to dogs REALLY works. Puppies, just like everything else, crave structure and when left to their own devices can get themselves into quite the pickle.
I don't know if you guys do any constructive exercise with your puppy, but that would be where I start. Learn how to properly walk your dog and that will help be not only good physical exercise but also mental exercise. It would help your overweight dog, too. It is unhealthy for dogs to be allowed to become too fat for their size and can shorten their life span and increase their risk for developing health issues. :) Mae is much too cute for that to happen!
To help with potting inside, I would suggest, once you feed, get into the habit of taking the puppy out to go to the bathroom afterwards. It will help create a routine and will help encourage the dog to go outside to potty rather than inside. This worked WONDERS for our completely feral pittie puppy when we "roped" her off a hill on my folks' ranch (where she was running wild with a pack of dogs) and took her into our home.
Cesar Milan will have much more indepth information for you. I do not claim to be a canine psychology expert whatsoever but if you want to chat more about your dog or dogs in general, my mail box is always open! :)
People tell me all the time how well behaved my dogs are. They are happy, balanced dogs thanks to what I have learned from Cesar Milan over the years. My dogs are not particularly "well trained" honestly, but they do have manners. So much so, that that feral pit bull my hubby and I rescued when she was... about 8 months old (she had no good, if any human contact before we got her), has turned into my daughter's dog. My daughter's newest favorite activity is taking Nebula for walks. My daughter is 16 months old. No joke.
Good luck with your puppy. Message me if you ever want to chat dogs. ♥

@ Cw Rescue Center, we dont want to use puppy pads because we don't want her using the bathroom in the house cause it creates a smell, so we don't use those. But we did put them in her cage when we first got her and she was going like every 5 minutes.
@Evermoore, i will definitely look him up! She has a ton of energy! We wake around with the dogs in the yard every day, and play catch with a stick or ball. Mae has been on a diet for a while and has started to lose some weight, but she is really lazy, shell run about 2 laps around the house the just stop. She definitely needs to work on her cardio! But the puppy keeps her up and moving and they play with each other a lot. After we feed her, we take her outside until she uses the bathroom. Thank you for the help, i will definitely try that!! ♥ Your dog is so cute, and your daughter! They look like really great buddies ♥ Me and Mae are really close, so i get worried about her being overweight, so I'm trying to get her weight down. Thank you! ♥

@Crescent,
My golden struggled with weight a lot years ago, despite being a fairly active dog. I tried cutting up veggies and putting it in his food. Diets. Weight mainenance dog food. Exercise. It didn't work. I ended up changing his food again to, for him it was Candidae, and he immediately started losing some weight and slimmed down to a healthy size. And I could actually feed him a reasonable amount of food instead of feeling like I was starving him.
What kind of dog food does Miss Mae get? If you don't mind my asking.
